AN HONEST REVIEW OF AMU

Remarks :

Eligibility criteria include minimum 60% score in physics, chemistry, biology/mathematics, and English each in class 12th. Application forms are available from December to January and exams are held in May or June every year. There is a reservation for sportspersons.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The faculty-student ratio is something between 12 faculty per 60 to 70 students. Faculties are mostly Ph.D. qualified and are at least 5-12 years experienced. Term exams are held on exact dates and times with proper syllabus study.

Internships Opportunities :

There are no opportunities for internships in B.Sc. courses such as physics, chemistry, zoology, and botany. However, there are good opportunities for Biochemistry students. There are many projects for Biochemistry and biotechnology students.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The course fee is affordable for any student as it is 16,000 rs in 1st year which go down to 5,000 Rs. in 2nd, 3rd and 4th year. The university provides financial assistance such as the VC fund, Sultan Jahan Scholarship and State scholarship, and Central Scholarship for needy students.

Campus Life :

The annual tournaments for hockey, football, basketball, volleyball, and badminton are held in January and February month of every year. Extracurricular activities include the skating club, music club, swimming club, and drama club.

Hostel Facilities :

Hostel facilities are quite better at AMU. There are three beds in one room for which one cupboard and one study table are provided. Mess charges are included in hostel fees and are low compared to any other universities. Registration for a hostel is easy as you have to submit your file to the Deans' student welfare they will allot a hostel for the student.

Placement Experience:

With the end of the final exams, we would be eligible for campus placement. We have no information about which companies are going to visit. I am unaware of the percentage of students getting placement. I am going to prepare for civil services exams after my graduation.

Placement Experience:

In the last semester. students are eligible for placements. Most students studying at amu are likely to proceed with a master's and then Ph.D. after that they get placements in the university itself may it be as a professor or teacher. my plan involved going for MBA after completing my degree but it got changed, unfortunately.

Placement Experience:

Placement is not as good in university at the graduation level but obviously, many national as well as international companies come here for this. Amazon, Flipkart etc companies come here for student hiring. Also, some edu tech companies come here and they provide a good package for students this year a Bengaluru-based edu tech companies give employment to 20 students at an average package of 8.5 lakhs per annum. I also wanna go into edu tech company after completing my degree.

Placement Experience:

Most of the students in Bsc don't opt for placements, since they are not so good, they opt for master's degree in foreign Universities or IITS and IISCs, apart from this the University has a Training and placement office for those who want to get placed in companies
