I was selected for M.Mgmt at IISc, Bangalore. Is it a good option?
Both institutes are premier institutes and offer excellent Ph.D. programs. Based on my sister's experience who did her internship at the Machine Intelligence unit in ISI Kolkata. The institute has world-renowned researchers in the field of machine learning who have INAE, IAS, and IEEE profiles. Here you will also find people doing top-quality research in computational biology and other fields. The research environment is friendly and the PhD students are quite approachable.
As for IISc, it is one of the leading research institutes in India. However, a PhD from IISc is very challenging and you need to invest a lot o time and effort in the same. Moreover, most of the professors in IISc are world-famous always busy will their personal research work, and have little time to guide the students. This lack of guidance will delay your Ph.D.
Ultimately, it is up to you to decide which one to go for. Both institutes are top-notch and enjoy global recognition. It's best to contact the Ph.D. students of both institutes to get a better picture.
How is college life at NSIT Delhi?
NSUT Delhi offers a dynamic and vibrant college life. The college spreads over a huge campus that is surrounded by lush greenery and peacocks flying around.
The college gives equal importance to academics and extracurricular activities and has various societies that promote fun activities such as dance, music, drama, fashion, debating, etc. A few societies like CSI, IEEE, and BHR promote educational and technical skills. You always have something to do or explore here and won’t get bored even for a moment.
Another source of great fun and enthusiasm is parties. First-year students get 2 freshers, an official and an unofficial one. The intercollege cultural fest Resonanz brings another wave of enjoyment to the campus. This is followed by the intercollege technical fest Innovision and the cultural fest Moksha. These are held on a huge scale and students can be seen involved in fun activities for 4-5 days.
Overall NSUT offers a very happening college life that will give you some of the best memories and friends to cherish for life.
Is there any Ragging in SVNIT?
Ragging has practically disappeared from the SVNIT campus. This is because of strict rules and regulations against ragging, made by the college authorities and the country’s lawmakers.
It is beneficial to reach out to your seniors and seek their advice in various matters related to the hostel and college. Being a new student means that you’ll need someone for advice on books, notes, and even the best places to hangout.
It is important to keep in mind that your seniors are no beasts, rather they are students just like you. The seniors might ask for your name, school, and other details. But this is in no way ragging. They do that to know you better and develop a friendly bond with you. There are some seniors who’ll be friendly with you, while others won’t bother at all.
So don’t worry about ragging, and try to develop a healthy bond with your seniors. They’ll be of great help to you in navigating through your engineering degree.

Many amazing experiences at IIT Bombay make for memories in the long run. Some of them are as simple yet surreal as sitting by the lake or trekking. Some specific experiences that should not be missed at any cost while at IIT Bombay are
- Mood Indigo: It is the annual cultural fest of IIT Bombay. One should attend this festival once in their lifetime because it’s something that should not be missed as an IITian.
- TechFest: it is the annual Tech fest of the college. This festival is at another level and has too many amazing events one should surely not miss.
- Sameer Hill: Every IITian is frustrated after some time because of the hectic campus life and this place is the best escape from reality. You can sit with your friends and forget your life problems for a while.
- Boathouse: This is the best place for a nature lover and should be visited in the early morning or evening. It is an amazing time pass activity.
- Clubs: Another major highlight of IIT Bombay is the wide variety of cultural and tech clubs that are run by the students themselves. If you want to learn something new and creative you can join a club of your choice and spend your free time there.
There are a lot more things at IIT Bombay that should not be missed and only someone who is a student there can experience them.
What are the best student organizations or clubs to join at NIT Trichy? Why should students join them?
There are a total of 90 clubs in NIT Trichy and 10 departmental symposiums.
Some of the NIT Trichy clubs under the 4 main categories are-
- Tech Clubs- Delta, Spider, RMI, 3D and Aeromodelling. The first three clubs come under computing groups. If you are interested in computing and coding, go for them during the inductions.
- Festive Clubs- Pragyan, Festember, Nittfest, Aaveg, Horizons, among others.
- Departmental Clubs and Symposiums- The symposiums are spread over 2 days and usually include paper presentations, guest lectures, workshops, and other events related to a central theme. Some of the department-specific symposiums are-

How do I apply for an original degree certificate in Acharya Nagarjuna University?
You can get your original degree certificate online. Go to the Acharya Nagarjuna University website, download the OD application form. Fill it up with the details required. Get it signed by your college. You can visit the admin block on the university campus after that to collect your original degree certificate.
You can also collect it offline. First, you will need a clearance certificate from your college, stating there are no dues pending. Go to the university campus with your documents. You will get the application form from the administration block. Fill out the required details. You will need to attach the xerox copies of your semester marksheets along with your application. Make the required fees at the campus bank branch. The general fee for the original degree is INR 500 for 2019 pass-outs. The tatkal fee for the same is INR 2100. The required amount is higher if you are an earlier pass-out.
You will get your degree certificate after a few days.
Why are there so many negative answers about MANIT Bhopal on Quora? Is the college that bad?
MANIT Bhopal suffered from a lot of evils in the past. However, things are swiftly improving, and the present conditions are different.
The director of MANIT has a strong vision, and his efforts have taken the institute in a positive direction. At present, attending classes has become mandatory. Those who fall short of 75% attendance won’t be allowed to write their exams. The administration has become strict, as opposed to the laid back attitude of the past. The fresher hostels and department buildings are newly built, and in good shape.
The campus is spread across 650 acres. The college is located in the heart of Bhopal city, allowing easy access to coaching centers for GATE, GRE, CAT, etc. There are many clubs and societies at MANIT, and ragging has become almost negligible. The placements are really good for CS, and above average for other branches.
Thus, MANIT Bhopal is a good college, and the negative reviews are now old and redundant.

- Try to work harder than the bare minimum and don’t limit yourself to specific tasks only
- Attend your classes regularly. This will help you prepare for your exams with minimal effort.
- Maintain your CGPA well despite your seniors' advice that CG does not matter. In reality, it does matter especially to secure good roles and packages. Moreover, foreign universities consider your CG when selecting for higher education
- Alongside your academics, make sure you pursue your hobby or anything that gives you a break from your studies
- Explore every nook and corner of your college and interact with almost everybody. Avail of every opportunity that comes your way.
- Don’t adopt a sheep mentality and follow every trend that your seniors have been following. For example, people tend to choose to code even if they are not interested just because it fetches good placements.
- Whenever you feel you are at your lowest, share your concerns with someone, and don’t just keep bottling things inside.
- Have a balanced diet and try to hit the gym
- Stay away from distractions and bad habits
- Interact with people with different personalities and mindsets to broaden your network

How good is Karunya University?
Karunya University is certainly one of the most sought-after engineering colleges. It does have a religious environment although students aren’t forced to participate in any such activities. It has a very well-maintained Infrastructure with many experienced faculties, most of whom are P.hDs. They have MOAs signed with foreign universities.
Karunya has an IAESTE chapter on their campus that facilitates students to go abroad for internships. Karunya also has its own campus radio and TV channel that airs cricket and football matches.
Overall, you will get many opportunities to showcase your talents.

IIT BHU is counted among the top engineering institutes in the country. For B.Tech, IIT BHU ranking in India is 14 by NIRF 21. The ranking declined in 2021, compared to last year. In 2020, NIRF ranked the institute 11th among the top engineering colleges. The Week 2021 ranked IIT BHU 8th for overall.
