Both the universities are good but if we talk about the best then definitely Bharati Vidyapeeth University is really better than Datta as the placements, facilities, ranking everything is far better in the university than Datta Meghe College of Engineering.
Jadavpur University and IIEST Shibpur are both considered as one of the best institutes in India to pursue Engineering. Both fall under the top 50 institutes for engineering according to the NIRF ranking. Jadavpur University is considered to be a tier A university whereas Shibpur University is not that popular.

The choice of University and course completely depends on the student’s interest and their JEE ranking. Both these subjects are relatively difficult to get but if the student is determined and smart at studying, nothing is unachievable.
IIT BHU has a 4-year B.Tech program, a 2-year M.Tech program, and a Ph.D. program in Chemical Engineering. The placement in IIT BHU is quite decent, students get placed in Core and Non-core sectors. Out of 125 students, 104 students were placed from the chemical engineering department in the 2019 placement drive. The recruiting companies visiting IIT BHU have offered in the recent year an average salary package of 10 lakhs per annum and the highest being 58 lakhs per annum. The recruiting companies include Reliance Industries Ltd., Reliance Petroleum Limited., Gujarat Alkalies & Chemicals Ltd., Arofine Polymers Ltd., etc.
Many students get recruited in non-core sectors like IT, Consulting, Analysis, etc. as placement for the companies in these sectors are open to students from all branches. Recruiters at these sectors include Microsoft, Google, Goldman Sachs, Apple, Samsung, Synopsis, Uber, Flipkart, etc.
You should choose the institute based on which branch you are interested in. Both the institutions are quite good but since the focus is on particular branches, certain points should be considered.
The ECE branch of IIT Bhubaneswar started in 2016 and the first batch will be graduating in 2020 itself. The branch has a record of 86% placement with an average salary of Rs.11.44 lakh p.a in 2019 placement drive. A good number of job opportunities are available at this IIT. The maximum recruitment is by far at good software companies and public sector undertakings. Faculties are well qualified and experienced.
Chemical engineering in IIT Chennai is an old branch with a well-defined syllabus. 2019 placement statistic revels Chemical engineering had 74% placements. The salary offered ranges between 4.8 lakhs to 32 LPA. Research and fringe facilities are also up to the mark.
Both institutions are equally good and reputed so it’s difficult to determine which institute is better. As IIT BHU is an old institution it offers a large alumni base which results in excellent placement. In 2019 a total of 104 students from chemical engineering was employed. The average salary package ranged between 10 LPA to 58.21 LPA. Whereas there was 71% placement for chemical engineering in IIT Guwahati with average placement package 15.5 LPA. For research, IIT Guwahati stands out because of its immaculate infrastructure in addition to well-equipped labs, course curriculum, faculties, and methodologies of teaching. In the field of research activities, it is way ahead of IIT-BHU.
Both colleges offer the best education to the students in UG, PG, and Ph.D. courses. Nirma University is ranked among the top 100 colleges by the NIRF. While the PDPU has been accredited with an “A” grade by the NAAC with CGPA 3.39/4.0. Both the institute offers BTech programs in chemical engineering.

IIT Bhubaneswar and BITS Hyderabad are ranked 22 and 30 for Engineering by NIRF Ranking of 2020. IIT Bhubaneswar offers a BTech program for Civil Engineering, whereas, BITS Hyderabad offers a BE program for Chemical Engineering.

Civil engineering has more scope than chemical engineering. However, you should choose the course you are more passionate about and the institute according to that.
If you are looking for placement in the non-core sector then it is very good, it is one of the branches with most placement in IIT BHU. Otherwise, if you want to work in core companies you have to take the GATE exam as there are not many core companies offering placement to Chemical Engineering students in IIT BHU. This year 104 students got placed in chemical engineering, mainly in software companies. You can also bag PPO if you do well in your internships.
Some of the companies that came for placements are CSRL, Nucleus Software, PDPU, Fidelity, Nineleaps, Sokrati (business analyst profile), FIITJEE, ET MEDIALABS, TechnipFMC, Onix Capital, CGI, EMERGY Enviro Pvt. Ltd, Tavant Technologies, Info Objects, Mirum, Praktice.ai, Biorasi LLC, Ambuja Cement, HPCL, GAIL, Air Liquide (only for chemical as trainee engineer), Prism Johnson Limited (only chemical and mining were allowed). These companies offered an average package of around 8 lakhs whereas, the highest package was Rs. 1.53 Crore.
Nirma University is a private university, recognized and approved by UGC, AIU, and has been accredited grade ‘A’ by NAAC. Admissions to the college are open through both offline and online modes. The college offers B.Tech in Chemical Engineering as a four-year full-time course at a fee of Rs 7.24 Lakhs for the full period.
Vellore Institute of Technology is a private deemed university, accredited grade ‘A’ by NAAC. The college has been ranked 1st and 15th by QS Subject Ranking and NIRF rankings respectively in the category of Engineering. It offers B.Tech in Chemical Engineering as a four-year full-time course at a fee of Rs 6.95 lakhs for the full period.

VIT, Vellore is a clear winner between the two colleges for Chemical Engineering. The college scores better on every parameter with lower fees, better campus & infrastructure, college ranking, and placement rate. With better facilities and return on investment, one should grab the opportunity at VIT with both hands provided he/she secures admission.
Both IIT Kharagpur and IIT Bhubaneswar are good IITs. So, it’s difficult to pick a single one.
IIT Kharagpur is one of the top IITs in India, ranking at 3 according to NIRF rankings 2019. The placement record of Chemical Engineering in IIT Kharagpur is quite good too. According to the 2019 placement report, 80% of the students got placement offers while a few of them went on to pursue higher education. Abbott India Limited, ITC Limited, Aditya Birla Science & Technology Company Ltd, Jacobs Engineering, Ansys India, Johnson Matthey India Pvt Ltd are a few of the top recruiting companies in 2019 at IIT Kharagpur.
While IIT Bhubaneswar is a new name among IITs, it’s doing quite well in placement. The ECE branch of IIT Bhubaneswar started recently and the first batch will graduate in 2020, as a result, there is no previous placement record. But the placement record for Electrical Engineering and Mechanical Engineering is quite good. The 2019 placement record reveals 86% and 83% of students got job offers from Electrical Engineering and Mechanical Engineering respectively. Also, according to the NIRF 2019, IIT Bhubaneswar is ranked 26, which is a good rank considering it’s a new IIT.
Both the IITs, IIT Kharagpur, and IIT Bhubaneswar are good choices, so make your decision according to your convenience.
