Is the B.Tech certificate valued at Karunya University?

AS
Arunabha Sengupta Posted On : September 22nd, 2021
B.Tech Mechanical Engineering & Digital Marketing, Karunya University (2017)

Karunya University is deemed to be a university registered under the UGC rules and regulations. It is doubtful whether a degree from the university is officially accepted.

Rather than asking whether the certificate is valued or not you should be asking about the credibility and how much importance does the certificate holds?

It does not hold much credibility and importance. It is a regular private university and obviously not comparable to any of the IITs or NITs. The recruiters consider it as an average college.

I have heard from many that the students of Karunya University lack technical skills in comparison to other colleges of Coimbatore in fact, the whole of Tamil Nadu.

Overall Karunya University is neither a much-valued college nor a bad one.

Do 12th board marks matter a lot in IPM IIM Indore admissions?

HN
Hardik Nagar Posted On : January 12th, 2023
Educationist, Aptitude Trainer, Student Mentor

No, they wouldn't be holding GD and PI if it had been important to IPM IIM Indore admissions.
You must, however, also be taking the entrance exam for other programs. The following are the causes:

  • The 5-year IIM Indore program is not the best or the most worthwhile route to graduation for anyone. Nobody, however, can contest the opportunities for employment and other benefits.
  • It is very expensive.
  • You may regret not taking additional science or social science courses during your undergraduate or graduate studies. You should always keep in mind that you can take business studies at any point in your academic career.

You should always have a plan B or C in place because, despite your best efforts, there will be a possibility that you might not be able to clear the test.

Will they give my certificate if I will leave the Dayanand Sagar College of Engineering , Bangalore after the first year?

RS

Studies Computer Science and Engineering at Dayanand Sagar College of Engineering,2023

It can be very difficult to obtain the certificate for a course you left midway. If you are already in college and have recently completed the first year, then it is close to impossible to gain the certificate back.

I have a friend who once encountered a similar situation at the institute.

  • In his case whatsoever, the administration, quite clearly, was generally demanding the full tuition fee payment granted for a period of 4 years.
  • However, due to a mutual treaty, the amount was reduced from the one demanded before.
  • The administration and the family later came to a mutual decision to get things sorted.
  • It is best that you either do not intend to join the institute or if you recently have, then it is best to continue the course until the end.
  • As it is futile to let your finances go to waste if you do not eventually extract anything out of it.

The choice of obtaining the certificate, either way, can take almost around 6 months to a year, which is outrageous in the first place.

S
Sagardeep Posted On : December 28th, 2022
Studied at Anna University

You cannot obtain a degree certificate right away. However, they will provide you with a Degree Award Certificate that you can use as a temporary degree certificate.

Anna University offers three types of certificates:

  • Degree Certificate.
  • Provisional Certificate.
  • Certificate of Degree Award. If they have not yet issued a degree certificate, it can be used to apply for a visa.

Documents needed are as follows:

  • Xeroxed degree certificate and consolidated mark sheet
  • Xerox provisional certificate.

Demand Draft of INR 300 to the ANNA UNIVERSITY CY. Verify the DD with the Anna University controller of examinations once more. After that, they will give you a form to fill out and submit. It will take between 10-15 days. Request a phone number and make a note of it. They rarely take calls, but in rare cases they do.

Can I change a branch in NIT Warangal?

CR
Chitra Roy Posted On : August 19th, 2023
M.Tech from National Institute of Technology, Warangal

You can get a branch change after your first year at NIT Warangal. But for branch change your academic performance in year 1 is considered. Here are the rules for branch change at NIT Warangal-

  1. Only those students are eligible for a branch change who complete all the credits in semester 1 and 2, and obtain an 8.0 CGPA in a single attempt.
  2. Those who repeat year 1 are not eligible for a branch change.
  3. You can enlist up to seven branch choices in the order of your preference. It will be permissible to alter your choices after the application is submitted.
  4. Branch change is merit-based and your first-year CGPA will be considered for it. In case of a tie, the All India Rank (at the time of admission) of the applicants is considered.
  5. Branch change is effective from the third semester and there is no branch change after that.
  6. All branch changes are final and binding on the students. You will not be allowed to refuse the allotted branch under any circumstances.

These are the simple rules that are followed during a branch change at NIT Warangal. Since the competition will be high, I would suggest you work really hard and score a high CGPA during your first year to get your branch changed.

AB
Akriti Banerjee Posted On : September 27th, 2023

Unquestionably LHMC (Lady Hardinge Medical College) would be a better option than KGMC, VMMC, Seth GS, Mumbai, SMS Jaipur, and GMCH Chandigarh. According to the NIRF report 2023, LHMC comes in 31st position among all top medical colleges of India. There are several reasons to choose LHMC over other mentioned colleges they are as follows:

  • Ranking: LHMC ranked 31 among the top medical colleges of India as per the NIRF report 2023. This indicates academic excellence, faculty strength as well and infrastructural abilities.
  • Internship & placement: Interns and students learn a lot in the hospitals connected to the college. Clinical assignments begin as early as the second year. After their fourth year, interns make between 50 and 60k per month. The linked hospitals with the college are Suchita Kriplani Hospital and Kalawati Saran Hospital, and some students may get the opportunity to work with Ram Manohar Lohia.
  • Infrastructure: The infrastructure is magnificent in every way. The hospital and academic facility are brand-new constructions and include a number of first-rate facilities, including 24-hour air conditioning, meticulously maintained lecture halls, corridors, and sanitary restrooms.
  •  Alumni: Dr Nivedita Gupta (Head of Virology at Indian Council of Medical Research), Dr Shinjini Bhatnagar. (Paediatrics, All India Institute of Medical Sciences) etc. are a few notable alumni of this organization.

Choosing Lady Hardinge Medical College (LHMC) for MBBS offers a rich heritage of medical education and quality healthcare training in India. With a history of excellence, a diverse clinical exposure, and experienced faculty, LHMC provides a solid foundation for aspiring medical professionals, making it a reputable choice for pursuing an MBBS degree.

How do you feel an Integrated MSc course from NIT Surat (SVNIT) is?

Sapna Malik updated Posted On : January 3rd, 2024

An integrated MSc. from SVNIT will be beneficial for your future as NITs are the second most revered engineering colleges in our country. Chasing one’s dream is a good idea, but one must also be aware of our future prospects. SVNIT is a good choice in terms of placements.

Some of my friends who graduated from SVNIT know of their batchmates who received job offers of around 30 LPA from foreign recruiters. Even Indian organizations pay SVNIT graduates handsomely, but the foreign offers are higher.

Ultimately, it is you who has to make the most of the available opportunities. Thus, I would recommend you join SVNIT for an integrated MSc.

What are some good books for the MEG course(MA in English) of IGNOU?

VK
Varun Kumar Posted On : October 20th, 2022
MA in English Literature and Urdu (IGNOU)

The study materials provided by IGNOU are more than enough. They are very helpful as they are loaded with more quality information than other books. Buying extra books will be just an additional unnecessary expense that you can easily cut down on.

Nowadays English Literature students should turn to online study guides. They are the best options. Some famous sites are listed below:

  • Sparknotes

  • Cliffsnotes

  • Jiffynotes

These sites will give students a better understanding of school subjects. Apart from this, there are certain points you need to keep in point for the best results:

  1. Read a lot.

  2. Make extensive notes.

  3. Ask doubts.

  4. Do extra research

  5. Prove and validate your point clearly.

These points combined with the study material will yield good benefits.

Is NIT Rourkela worth being ranked as 2nd best NIT (as per MHRD Rankings 2017)?

SV
Sudeeksha Verma Posted On : August 14th, 2023
B.Tech from National Institute of Technology, Rourkela (2020)

Currently, NIT Rourkela is ranked as the 3rd best NIT after NIT Trichy and NIT Karnataka as per the MHRD rankings 2023. Now, before determining if NIT Rourkela is worth being ranked so highly, we need to know what criteria make up an MHRD ranking

  • Infrastructure : NIT Rourkela has a huge and serene campus with some of the best campus facilities. It’s said to have the best infrastructure among other engineering colleges.
  • Curriculum: Most national institutes have a similar curriculum where the branch-specific courses are introduced from the 2nd year. NIT Rourkela's curriculum may not be the best but is certainly well-structured.
  • Research papers : NIT Rourkela has an active research culture and has produced almost an equal number of papers and a thesis like IITKGP. This is one of the major reasons for its high rankings.
  • Numbers of courses: NIT Rourkela has a diverse range of courses from several BTech programs to PhD programs.
  • Placements: This is where NIT Rourkela has to step back because of its poor location.

So yes, NIT Rourkela very much deserves the high ranking it gets considering its excellent infrastructure, curriculum, and research opportunities.
