Which college has a better brand and great reputation in India as well as abroad: NIT, Delhi University, BITS Pilani or IIIT?
All the colleges and universities that you have mentioned are premier colleges of India known for their quality education. When choosing which is a better brand and reputation, I would go with BITS Pilani. While IIIT and Delhi University are decent options, BITS Pilani is way ahead of them.

Which one amongst IIIT Hyderabad and (one of the) IITs should someone choose who wants to study Computer Science ?
If you want to seriously pursue a career in CS, look no more for IIIT Hyderabad is the best option for you. Despite being young, it is easily comparable to the old IITs and its improving brand value and academic quality has managed to attract the best crowd. Here are a few other aspects that should be considered
- Coding Culture: The institute has an exceptionally good coding culture that is maintained through frequent internal programming contests. The institute also participates in the ACM-ICPC World Finals every year and has made several achievements.
- Contributions: IIIT Hyderabad students make a lot of open-source contributions. The increasing number of students who get selected for coding events such as Google Summer of Code, is a testament to the same.
- Research: IIIT Hyderabad curriculum is designed in such a way that it encourages students to pursue research. Students even at the UG level here can be seen involved in Artificial Intelligence or Advanced Algorithms-based projects and even have publications in the same.
- Faculty: The most important aspect is the faculty which is again very good in the case of IIIT Hyderabad. Most professors are PhDs from well-reputed colleges in India and abroad. These professors encourage the students to pursue MS and Ph.D. as well as summer internships or projects in overseas universities.
- Entrepreneurship: IIIT Hyderabad has always promoted the Entrepreneurship culture among its students. Students also excel in diverse fields like finance, consulting, etc. by doing well in exams like CFA, CAT, or GMAT. However, I will say that IITs would provide you with better opportunities in this aspect as of now.
Ultimately, an institute can only guide you but cannot be completely responsible for shaping your career. So choose wisely!
Which one is better: taking mechanical engineering at IIT BHU or civil engineering in IIT Roorkee?
I am a B.Tech Civil student at IIT Roorkee. Here’s a comparison between the two options-

One important thing that my friends told me is that the Mechanical Engineering Department at IIT BHU is one of the strictest departments in India. It makes the students question their own potential. The department professors are very strict and the coursework is extremely rigorous. The students are given assignments and projects which they have to complete within a day.
I would suggest you choose IIT Roorkee Civil as it offers the same facilities and placements as IIT BHU Mechanical. Moreover, the Civil department at IITR is not as strict as the Mechanical department at IIT BHU.
Which one is better: IIT Tirupati or IIT Bhilai?
When it comes to the new IITs, they all are similar and you won’t find any major differences in terms of infrastructure, education, or even placements. So now the question arises, how to choose one over the other? Well, the best way is to decide the branch you are going to take and then the IIT that offers it best. If you are going for CSE, IIT Bhilai will be your best option. Moreover, the branch change policy here is very lenient so with enough effort you can transfer into EE kr ME.
IIT Bhilai CSE is the best option because
- Life at IIT Bhilai Is very happening and the coding culture is way better than IIT Tirupati.
- The director himself belongs to the Computer Science branch so the branch is mentored directly by him.
- The low batch size ensures better attention to students both from the faculty and the director.
- IIT Bhilai has strong ties with reputed institutes and industries in CS.
- The students are challenged through frequent projects and quizzes which are highly engaging and intriguing.
Overall, choosing IIT Bhilai over IIT Tirupati will be an excellent decision for you!
What is the college timing in NIT Trichy?
The classes at NIT Trichy start at 8:30 AM and lasts till 5:10 PM. There will be classes in two phases. The timing for morning classes is from 8:30 AM to 12:10 PM and for afternoon classes it is 1:30 PM to 5:10 PM.
On some days, afternoon classes will be canceled and only the morning classes will be conducted. The number of cancelled classes depends from department to department. The CSE department has a lot of cancelled classes and you would be free by 3:30 PM. But this is not the case with EEE & ECE departments as here all the classes are conducted regularly.
If you are residing in these hostels Garnet, Agate, Coral, Diamond then you can wake up before 5-10 mins of classes as it is located nearby to the lecture halls and you can easily reach on time. But if you are residing in Amber or Opal hostels, you will have to wake up at least 30 minutes earlier to attend the classes on time as the rooms are very far from the lecture halls.
The timing for hostels depends upon the class. For 1st year boys, the entry timing is till 9:30 PM and for others, there are no such fixed timings and you can come at any time. But for girls, the timing is only till 9 PM and there is no exception in timings for anyone.
What is the reputation of IIIT Hyderabad in the Silicon Valley?
Honestly, IIIT Hyderabad does not receive the hype it deserves and does not highly regard in Silicon Valley either. No donut, it has many big recruiters but given its top-notch faculty and education, it should have a much better reputation than it has today. I personally feel that this stems from a few flaws of the institute. For instance, it lacks a lot of the essential Math, EE, Design, and even several Business, Finance, and Management courses which are prominent in IITs and BITS. IIIT Hyderabad curriculum revolves around programming only and getting a lucrative package at Google MTV or Microsoft Redmond or Facebook seems to be the ultimate goal of the CS students here. People fail to realize that no matter how huge the package offered is, they are just routine Software Engineering jobs at the end of the day. Many IIT graduates give up on such offers just to pursue entrepreneurship or research.
Comparing IIIT Hyderabad with any old IIT says IIT Guwahati, you will see that although the latter has lower placement statistics, its graduates have diverse prospects like MS/PhDs from top US Universities, MBAs from Harvard-Stanford-Wharton, unlike IIIT Hyderabad students who end up with the most monotonous jobs as Software Engineers.
In a nutshell, the reason IIIT Hyderabad has failed to gain a good reputation in silicon valley is the lack of diversity and flexibility in its curriculum and has nothing to do with the quality of its education or job opportunities.
Can I fill the exam form and send it before submitting assignments for the IGNOU distance course?
No. You cannot do that. There is a proper procedure that everyone needs to follow regarding the submission of assignments at IGNOU.
Step 1: Submit all your assignments at your study center. Also, make photocopies of your assignments before submitting them. These photocopies along with the signatures will be proof of your submission of assignments.
Step 2: After submitting all your assignments fill your exam form. Get the signature of your study center coordinator at the back of the form.
Step 3: When you are done submitting, go to your regional center m. Here you are required to submit your TEE form ( Term End Examination). Fill out the receipt they give and submit it along with the demand draft and TEE form.
You will get the signed receipt back. Keep this safely with you for future use.
What is the student exchange program at IIM Ahmedabad?
Exchange Programs come under Inter-University collaboration. It allows students to study at a foreign university for a certain duration of time. Casual attachment to a foreign university for a period not exceeding one semester is more common, and your academic score at the host university does not count toward your MBA assessment.
Dual Degree programs are those in which your work abroad counts toward your academic ranking at IIM(A) and may also qualify you for another degree from the host university. Despite the fact that it is somewhat uncommon.
Can I leave the IPM programme from IIM Indore or IIM Rohtak after 3 years? If yes, what degree do I get and from which institution?
When you leave IIM Indore after three years, you will get a Bachelor of Arts degree in foundations in management.
IPM students definitely have the option of leaving the program after 3 years for any reason cited. Most quit to appear for CAT and to go to higher ranked B-schools in the country.
If you are planning to quit, you need to clear the basic passing requirements for IPM. This includes the social internship.

What is the level of NSIT DELHI compared to IITs and NITs?
Like every other Institute NSUT has its own pros and cons. It enjoys a good location in addition to excellent placement opportunities and a number of societies. However, it has no wifi access and the institute does not have a CGPA system. This affects your future prospects to a great extent.

- NITS vs Old IITs : Obviously, I think all old IITs are better than NSUTs considering factors like academics, infrastructure, faculty, research, etc
- NSUT VS New IITs: Although IITs have a brand value attached to them, the new IITs have poor infrastructure and faculty pool. NSUT on the other hand has better infrastructure and also enjoys a good location. So if you want to go for CS/IT, choose NSUT else consider your personal preferences.
- NSUT vs NITs: The top NITs are better than NSUT but the problem is they are located in South India. So, as a South Indian, you may face some issues.
