Which is better BS Economics at IISER Bhopal, BTech Chemical Engineering at IIPE Vizag or BTECH Mechanical at IIITDM Jabalpur. I would prefer an interdisciplinary course.

If you are a student of Chemical Engineering looking for a program that will help you hone your problem-solving skills in complex, multidisciplinary situations, the Indian Institute of Petroleum and Energy (IIPE) may be a good choice for you. During your course, the emphasis will be on fostering your ability to tackle difficult problems from a variety of angles.

If you are interested in pursuing an undergraduate degree in Economics, the Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER) in Bhopal may be a good fit. In addition to the BS Economics program, you can also choose to minor in other subjects to broaden your knowledge base.

It's important to note that while IIPE Vizag is a new institute, established in 2016, IISER Bhopal has been around since 2008, making it a more established institution. That being said, it's important to consider a range of factors when choosing a program.

If you're interested in Mechanical Engineering, the Indian Institute of Information Technology, Design, and Manufacturing (IIITDM) may be a good option. With a strong faculty and excellent labs, it's a great place to gain knowledge and skills in manufacturing.

When it comes to facilities for Mechanical Engineering programs, the following order can be roughly followed based on available information:

  • Infrastructure: IIITDM > IISER Bhopal > IIPE Vizag
  • Academics: IISER Bhopal > IIITDM > IIPE Vizag
  • Placements: IIITDM > IISER Bhopal > IIPE Vizag

Of course, this is just a general indicator since we are comparing three different streams. Ultimately, the best program for you will depend on your individual interests and goals.

Should I join IIITDM Jabalpur or IIIT Guwahati for CSE?

RM
Raghav Mishra Posted On : November 4th, 2022
Electronics and Communication Engineering, Indian Institute of Information Technology, Guwahati

There are numerous factors to consider before enrolling in any institute.

In terms of curriculum, it is assumed that the CSE curriculum at IIIT Guwahati is on par with that of any other institute of national importance. Many of the seniors landed good jobs in MNCs, and despite the location taboo, they were able to find suitable placements.

Because Jabalpur is in Central India, more companies will undoubtedly visit the campus. However, you are aware that they are also in the design and management fields. In contrast, the IIT Guwahati curriculum is completely different from theirs in that regard (it includes courses such as optimization techniques which IIITDM does not possibly have). In CSE, a greater emphasis is placed on software development and machine learning. So if you want to be in the middle of nature, join IIIT Guwahati. Whoever said this might be an immature student in their field of study, perhaps a freshman or a sophomore.

It is recommended to compare the faculty research areas and qualifications in both institutes as well as the infrastructure, placement record, and curriculum. Then you'll be able to choose which type of institute you want to attend.

Which is better, IIIT Jabalpur or IIIT Kanchepuram?

VR
Vanya Rao Posted On : July 19th, 2021
B.Tech from Indian Institute of Information Technology, Allahabad

Both IIIT Jabalpur and IIIT Kanchepuram are decent institutes, having their own advantages. The points below give a brief overview of both the institutes that may help you to make a choice between the two.

  • The placement of IIIT Jabalpur is excellent, even somewhat better than that of IIIT Kancheepuram. But, IIIT Kancheepuram offers an excellent environment inside its campus.
  • The placement in IIIT Kancheepuram is also quite good, but due to the presence of a lot of excellent colleges in the city of Chennai and other cities of Tamil Nadu, it could never be as good as that of IIIT Jabalpur.
  • In Jabalpur, there is not much of a competition, IIIT Jabalpur being the only established institute there.

Although, both the institute are excellent in their fields and have a high pace of growth in standards, it’s the candidate’s wish to choose one among the two, based on the factors listed above.
