Considering placements, if you opt for CS at NSUT, the average package at NSUT is around 14 LPA and the median package is around 8 LPA considering some international offers which increase the average package by a huge amount. The Political Science Department at both Ashoka University and Jadavpur University is quite good.
Ashoka University offers different branches of Political Science as honors courses. It has a wonderful group of faculty which include graduates or PhDs from ivy league colleges. The university also offers a choice to pursue a fourth year of undergraduate, which is a requirement for most of the good universities abroad.
Jadavpur University is an old well-reputed university and the department of international relations of JU is one of the best in the country. The infrastructure is quite good at JU. NIT Durgapur- The BTech in ECE program at NIT Durgapur observes a general cut-off rank for the JEE Mains of 10603 in round 1 and 13122 in round 7, in the year 2019.
IIEST Shibpur- For BTech admissions at IIEST Shibpur students are required to clear JEE mains and have a minimum of 45% in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics in 10+2, along with 30% in English.
