The department of Political Science of Delhi College of Arts and Commerce is quite good. The teachers are well-qualified and cooperative. The infrastructure of the department is also decent. The library has many books on Political Science. So, you don’t need to worry about study materials. Overall, DCAC is a great option for pursuing Political Science.
Lady Brabourne is comparably better for a Political Science (Hons). It is one of the top colleges in Kolkata. The faculty base is great. However, it is quite difficult to get admission at the institute as the number of seats is limited. They are also quite strict regarding attendance.
Loreto College is also one of the most reputed colleges in Kolkata. And both Lady Brabourne and Loreto come under Calcutta University. So, you will take the same examinations and go through the same evaluation process.
The Political Science Department at both Ashoka University and Jadavpur University is quite good.
Ashoka University offers different branches of Political Science as honors courses. It has a wonderful group of faculty which include graduates or PhDs from ivy league colleges. The university also offers a choice to pursue a fourth year of undergraduate, which is a requirement for most of the good universities abroad.
Jadavpur University is an old well-reputed university and the department of international relations of JU is one of the best in the country. The infrastructure is quite good at JU. Apart from the departmental library, there is a central library which has over 4000 books. Seminars are conducted by guest lecturers from all over the country and the world.
