BIT Sindri is one of the most popular and best government engineering institutes of Jharkhand. To get admission here, you need to study very hard and qualify for the entrance examination conducted by J.C.E.C.E.B with a higher score.

  • After clearing the exam, there will be a counseling process that takes place in 2 or 3 rounds.

  • These documents will be verified during the day of your admission and after this process, you will receive a receipt showing your roll no. with your stream and your date of welcome.

These are the complete process of taking admission at BIT Sindri and after successfully completing all the steps, you can get admission and start attending classes.

Is there any management quota in FMS Delhi?

SG
Shantanu Gupta Posted On : May 9th, 2023
Studied at Faculty of Management Studies, University of Delhi (2020)

No, there is no management quota in FMS Delhi. Admission to FMS Delhi is totally based on merit only, and the selection process is highly competitive. The selection process for FMS Delhi MBA program includes profile-based shortlisting of candidates based on their CAT scores, followed by a Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI).

The final selection of candidates is based on a composite score that takes into account the candidate's CAT score, academic performance in classes 10th, 12th & graduation, work experience, extracurricular activities, and performance in the GD and PI. FMS Delhi strictly follows the admission policy and selection criteria set by the University of Delhi and there is no provision for management quota or direct admission.

Should I attend counselling at IIT Guwahati for an MTech in mechanical admission?

AM
Anirudh Mukharjee Posted On : May 5th, 2023
Studied at Indian Institute of Technology, Guwahati (IITG)

MTech in Mechanical Engineering comprises various specializations. The cutoff for each specialization varies. Usually, the highest cut-off is for machine design then fluid and thermal science followed by CAM and computational mechanics. If you are attending the counseling you have to specify the preference order among these four. So depending on your rank, you might get admission to a specialization you did not want to study.

I recommend that you attend the counseling and don’t make assumptions beforehand. Sometimes the wrong train leads you to the right destination. It’s better to explore all options to determine what’s best for you.

TD
Tezal Dahiya Posted On : September 16th, 2023

College of Veterinary and Animal Sciences - [RAJUVAS], Udaipur does not accept NEET scores for any of its programs. The institute offers M.V.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in most of the disciplines. It also offers a B.V.Sc. at the UG level and a Diploma in AH. Admission to the B.V.Sc program is based on the rank secured by the candidate in the Rajasthan Pre Veterinary Test (RPVT) and not on the basis of NEET.

Hope this solves your query.

How does the allotment into CUSAT work and what are the processes?

AB
Ahalya Bose Posted On : August 9th, 2023
Studied at Cochin University (2019)

After the CUSAT CAT result declaration, a rank list is prepared and enlisted. This is followed by the online option registration for the desired Engineering courses at SOE, CUCEK and Kunjali Marakkar School of Marine Engineering. For seat allotment, the CAT ranks are considered. Out of the total seats for B.Tech program, 50% are reserved for Keralite students, 40% are All India Merit seats, and 10% are reserved for NRI students. There is also category based reservation.

In Naval Architecture & Ship Building, Instrumentation Technology and Polymer Science & Engineering, 90% seats are reserved for Keralite students while only 10% are All India Merit seats. After online option registration, you have to download the CUSAT CAT Seat Allotment Letter. You have to report at the venue on the allotted date and time for the counseling rounds. At the venue, you have to pay the admission fee and your seat will be confirmed. If you do not turn up at the venue or do not pay the admission fee, your candidature will stand canceled.

Even after paying the admission fee, you can attend the further rounds to see if the option which you gave higher preference to is allotted to you. Then you need to confirm the seat by paying the fees in case the seat is changed from state merit to payment. If you do not get your desired seat, you can attend the real time admission and spot admission round to check for the remaining/available seats which will be alloted on the basis of rank. During the spot admissions, all category seats are dissolved into general seats, except for SC/ST seats.

This is the procedure for allotment of Engineering seats at CUSAT.

VK
Vidhi Khandel Posted On : December 19th, 2022
M.E in Industrial Engineering (college major) & Aerospace and Aeronautical Engineering, Anna University, Tamil Nadu, India (Graduated 2015)

Other state (OS) students have two main ways to get admissions into Anna University.

Through Other State Quota: Only government colleges can be availed through this. About 2-3 seats are available only for each department. The counselling procedure is based on home state 12 equivalent marks.

Through Home State Quota: This way allows any other students to participate in counselling along with home state students provided that they fill certain criteria. The criteria for this is that

  • the students should not have presumed his education of 8,9,10,11,12 classes or equivalent in Tamil Nadu
  • His father or mother should have a ration card with candidate name in Tamil Nadu.
  • The candidate has to show a nativity certificate with signatures of VO, tahsildar and many others to attend counselling.

Can we get direct admission into FMS Delhi?

HN
Hardik Nagar Posted On : January 10th, 2023
National Chief Mentor - IMS | FMS Delhi | CAT 100%ile

Direct admission would not be possible if you mean skipping the entrance exam and the GDPI Extempore process entirely. Unless you somehow manage to rig the CAT, get the paper leaked before the test, solve it completely, mark everything correctly, get a shortlist from FMS, know who the panelists are, and successfully coerce them into giving you a final admit, you will have to go through the usual drill.

In short, you must work hard, perform well on the CAT, and prepare for the GDPI Extempore process. There are no shortcuts.

Is it correct joining NMIMS Mumbai core after having 3 years of IT experience and currently earning 50 000 per month?

AJ
Ashwin Jog Posted On : March 14th, 2023
MBA at NMIMS(2020)

To establish your credentials before answering the question, as a second-year student at NMIMS Mumbai, you can confidently say that you have three years of work experience in the IT industry prior to joining NM.

If you're considering doing your MBA, NMIMS Mumbai is a great place to pursue it. You can vouch for it because you're almost finished with your MBA and have been placed in a reputed organization with a decent salary.

In addition to a degree and a good pay package, NM can offer you other things that are very important:

  • Industry interface - Since NM is in Mumbai, you have the privilege of connecting with industry stalwarts at conferences, seminars, and guest sessions.
  • Batch strength - Networking is a buzzword that you'll hear a lot once you start your MBA. You'll want to know people, and people will want to know you. That's where the batch strength becomes a real strength.
  • Exposure - You'll have access to great classroom teaching, be able to participate in case study competitions, and execute tasks if you're part of some cell.

Now, here's a reality check:

  • NM is a great place to be. But when it comes to placements, it's generally observed that many people with significant work experience in IT move to IT and consulting roles after their MBA. However, the roles you get once you move to IT again are quite different from what a non-MBA gets. They can include business analyst, product management, pre-sales, and sales roles.
  • There have been instances where people have done good projects, won case study competitions, and performed well in their internships. These serve as certain criteria to make a switch to a different field. If you do well, are passionate about what you want to do in the future, and are also a cultural fit for the company, then you will surely be hired.

One of my friends studied at Krea University. According to him, their U.G programme admissions process is both unique and innovative.

The following is the procedure for admission:

  • To enroll in a UG course at the university, you must first create an account on the admissions portal and register yourself as an applicant by entering a few basic details.
  • Fill out the application by going over each section one by one:
    • Section 1: Personal narrative
    • Section 2: Academic Details
    • Section 3: Extracurricular activities.
    • Section 4: Personal information
    • Section 5: Additional details
  • The next stage of the admission process is what makes it more interesting.
  • Based on the application form, the admissions committee selects the student for the following stages of the admission process.
  • KIC or Krea Immersive Case candidates are chosen from all the applicants.
  • Case studies, reflection essays, mathematical and logical exercises, group discussions and presentations based on the case, conservation with a panel of faculty and admissions team members are commonly included in the KIC.
  • There are no prerequisites for any of the processes described above.
  • You can connect with the former and current students of the university to know more about the intricacies.

Due to the current pandemic, the UG admissions at Krea University will be done via online mode, for the time being, to comply with regulations implemented by the concerned authorities in the interest of the health and safety of the applicants and staff members of Krea University.

What is the weightage of GD and PI in the NITIE admission through the GATE?

JM
Jiten Mukherjee Posted On : August 13th, 2021
Studies PGDMM in NITIE Mumbai 2023

During the admission procedure, the candidate is judged upon the weightage of their GATE score, GD or PI, and their academic credentials.

Considering your score being lower than usual, then it is the GD and PI that will play a pivotal role in your further selection. It also partially depends upon your communications skills because, only last time, NITIE offered management courses to a few handful of students based on how fluent they were with their communication skills.

NITIE Mumbai does not often divulge the criteria they usually follow for shortlisting students or finalizing candidates. It is best to acquire the best GATE scores.
