Which is better, BIT Mesra Jaipur or JECRC for a BCA?
My cousin attended both colleges. He left BIT Mesra to join JECRC. Here is his insight for the institutes.
Comparison:
- BIT Mesra has better faculties, better brand name, better opportunities in terms of placements as well as higher studies. But unfortunately, the campus is not that good. There is a lack of cooperation from the university and less crowd.
- In JECRC, you will get a good college experience. After all, all that matters, in the end, is your skills.
- If you don’t have any interest in socializing and want a life with a brand name to carry forward, BIT Jaipur is definitely the better alternative.
For CSE particularly, the preference order should be BIT Jaipur >> JECRC.
How are the hostels at Ashoka University? Is the campus safe?
Ashoka University offers hostel accommodations for both males and females. Rooms in the hostel are spacious and well-maintained. The surrounding is clean and proper hygiene is maintained. Ashoka University Hostel Fees is INR 2-2.50 Lakhs Per Annum for both boys & girls.
Ashoka University Hostels are well-known for having cozy and contemporary amenities. The hostel also provides a free shuttle service for students, staff, and visitors to the nearest metro station.

The university is known for taking student security and safety very seriously, and campus safety is generally regarded as high. The university community takes proactive steps to maintain a safe environment and security measures are in place to ensure the safety of the students.
How are the placements in IIT Palakkad?
Despite being a new IIT, IIT Palakkad has great placements for the CSE branch. This year too the branch recorded 100% placements. However the same cannot be said for other branches, especially EE, ME, and Civil. EE is a circuit branch and thus its placement statistics are really poor. IIT Palakkad placement 2023 is still going on and the placement percentage has reached 90.28% as of now. 130 out of 144 students have been placed.
IIT Palakkad's highest package of INR 46.16 LPA was received by the CSE branch and the Mechanical Engineering branch. The average package stood at INR 13.93 LPA and the median package at INR 11.50 LPA.

Which institute is better for M.Sc. Physics IIT Kanpur or IIT Madras?
The points below give a brief overview of IIT Madras, stating some of the advantages of choosing it over IIT Kanpur.

If you have a keen interest in biotechnology, then B.Tech in Biotechnology is an excellent field. But if you aren’t interested in the branch it will be better to go for other branches. I have friends from both institutes. Here are some of the facts about the Biotech course at both institutes based on the interactions I had with them.
Comparison:
- Biotech from UIET Chandigarh is decent, but the placement opportunities are limited. But if you have a good academic record then you can go for higher studies at Panjab University which has a good industry interface with Sun Pharma.
- Panjab University holds a better international reputation than Thapar University. It will help you sail through the admission process in a leading foreign institute for further education in biotech.
- The crowd in UIET Chandigarh is better than Thapar University. The reason is, UIET requires to require a less JEE Mains cut-off rank as compared to Thapar.
- Thapar is a private university. So, it has the edge over the placements compared to UIET Chandigarh. Being a private institution it charges a massive fee as compared to UIET Chandigarh.
- Thapar has a tie-up Trinity College, Dublin, so you get an opportunity to do (2+2), i.e., two years at Thapar and two years at Trinity. This program can hike the fee up to INR 40-45 Lakhs.
Before joining, it will be better to have a conversation with the students on campus to have a wholesome knowledge about the institutes.
What should one bring if he/she is staying at a hostel in NLSIU Bangalore?
If you are staying in a hostel in NLSIU Bangalore then you should take the things that are required by you daily as a part of your utilities. You should either buy them from a nearby market or bring them from your home.
Following are a few list of items that you must carry with you:
- Carry a set of clothes containing a mix of formal and informal ones.
- You should have a laptop with a multi-plug point.
- Some clean bedsheets, pillow covers, single-window curtains, and towels are also required.

- To study at Trinity College Dublin in the 3rd and 4th years (can opt for 5th year also), you have to maintain a score of 8.5+ each semester.
The advantage of going for this course offered by Thapar University is that you will get your degree from Trinity College. You will get world class exposure in Research and Technology given that you work hard. You will get a sense of the working style and culture of another country. The disadvantage is that this course is very expensive and you are required to maintain a C.G. of 8.5+. You might also suffer from a cultural shock upon arriving in a European country. European countries face economic instability all the time so if you don’t do well in academics, you might face difficulty in landing a job.
Before going for this course, consider all the pros and cons thoroughly. Overall, the IEP (Trinity) course at Thapar University offers a one in a kind opportunity.
