How is the hostel life in Sen Hall, IIEST Shibpur?

- There are arrangements for several indoor games, including carom and table tennis. The Sen hall also has a garden, where students can play short-pitch cricket or badminton.
- In the Sen hall, there is a good senior-junior relationship, where 3rd and 4th years stay. No report of ragging is evident from the Sen hall.
- The mess food is quite good, with the presence of supportive and caring mess staff. Students get to eat Biryani twice or thrice a month.

SC/ST/PwD students get complete relief from B.Tech tuition fee at VNIT Nagpur. They have to pay a one-time charge of Rs. 15,500 during admission. This includes library deposit, caution deposit, fee for identity card, etc. Other than that, they have to pay Rs. 4350 per semester for various campus facilities. This amount includes registration fee, library fee, sports fee, student activity fee, etc.

- A typical bathroom has 4 showers, 3 wash basins, 3 Indian toilets, 1 western toilet, and 3 urinals. In all, there are 16 showers, 12 wash basins, 12 Indian toilets, 4 western toilets, and 12 urinals on a single floor that is used by 80 people.
- The ratio is approximately 1:5 (showers), 1:7 (basins), 1:5 (toilets), 1:7 (urinals).
