NIT Kurukshetra and PEC Chandigarh are well-respected institutions in India, known for their high-quality engineering education. Both institutions have strong reputations and are considered to be among the best engineering colleges in India. One of my friends chose NIT Kurukshetra and has no regrets whatsoever to date.
You can consider the following points before choosing the college
Here is a comparison of a few statistics that might help you further make a well-informed decision.

The above statistics prove that NIT Kurukshetra has a slight advantage over PEC.
Moreover, it also offers the NIT tag. It ultimately depends on the individual's personal preferences and priorities, such as location, campus culture, and specific program offerings.
Admission to B.Tech at DCRUST is based on JEE Mains ranks, irrespective of your category. Since you are applying for the fee waiver category(TFW), you will get CS much higher rank as compared to the general category but it is applicable for online counselling mode only. In physical counselling, you can expect to get CS branch up to around 70k rank. Both counselling is conducted by HSTES, and you can appear for both counselling separately.
Your answer entirely depends upon what your requirements are.
Private colleges do offer good infrastructure and campus life but the teacher to student ratio, the quality of education generally do not compensate for the huge amount they charge. But if you look at IIITs, the student-to-teacher ratio is fine.
Private colleges are always a gold option for the "fun" factor. But if you are looking for fine education quality, IIITs should be your first priority.
Just a side note, this doesn't mean that IIITs won't include the "fun" factor you're looking for. It simply won't have that great of an experience overall. Plus the infrastructure would not be very impressive either. But the quality of education you would find here would be unmatched.
I have friends from both Vidyalankar Institute of Technology and KJ Somaiya. Based on the conversations I had with them, I will suggest you choose KJ Somaiya for a CS degree.
Here are some of the reasons why you should prefer KJ CE/IT over Vidyalankar CE /IT.
Vidyalankar is not a bad choice either. Both colleges have their own advantages. Here is a brief comparison of the two institutes.
Parameters | KJ Somaiya | Vidyalankar Institute of Technology |
Average CTC | 5 LPA | 4.16 LPA |
Highest CTC | 18.75 LPA | 7 LPA |
Major recruiters | Microsoft, IBM, Vodafone | TCS, Just Dial, Axis Bank |
Course fee | 11.35 lakhs | 6.03 lakhs |
You should do your own research on the institute and choose according to your convenience.
As a student of BITS Hyderabad, I can assure you that such claims are baseless and untrue.
Around 80% of the crowd at our college consists of students who have cleared JEE Advanced, and 60% ranked within 10k.
Moreover, the students of BITS Hyderabad perform extremely well in studies and extracurriculars. The students shine in various programs and competitions like - SpaceX Hyperloop, GSoC, Topcoder, SAE BAJA, CANSAT, SA Cup, etc.
The campus has a rich tech and research culture, and the placement stats are getting better with each year. You can become a part of international clubs like SEDS and SAE, and other clubs like CRUX, ADASTRA and ARC.
Thus, you can consider BITS Hyderabad for your B.E. CS without any hesitation.
The ranking for JUET and Manipal, Jaipur by NIRF is 86 and 151. However, choosing the best course in a specific college depends upon your level of interest, eligibility, cut-off rank, placement cell, etc.
Admissions and Fee: Both colleges offer BTech courses for CSE and ECE.
The eligibility for the courses is the same, i.e, 10+2 with 75% and JEE Mains.
The cut-off for the ECE course in Manipal, Jaipur college is 6843. But there is no specific cut-off for JUET CSE.
The fee is a bit higher for Manipal college than the JUET, Guna. The annual course fee at Manipal is 3.19 lakhs, while the same at JUET is 2.04 lakhs.
Placements:
JUET-
The highest salary of JUET is 41 LPA while the average salary received by the students is 3.5 LPA.
Several companies are visiting the JUET campus. Out of which, few of them are Amazon, Google, TCS, HCL, One Direct, Trident, Tata Consultancy, Infosys, Geeks for Geeks, Interview Bit, Central Research Laboratory, and many more.

The ECE placement rate of this college is 90%.

The scope for both the scores at these colleges is too high.
It is difficult to compare two different institutes for two different courses. As a course, CSE has better opportunities than ECE. However, you should choose the course you are more interested in and the institute according to that.

The choice is tough but the mentioned points will help you to make a decision as per the requirement and preferences.
Sikkim Manipal Institute of Technology seems a better choice to go with. Having cracked the SRM University Entrance Test, some of my friends still chose ECE with Sikkim Manipal Institute of Technology. SRM has an edge in terms of placement opportunities due to it being located in the city.

All of the above factors are the reason for my inclination in recommending Sikkim Manipal Institute of Technology. The students get a chance to participate in off-campus drives of other colleges. The placement rate at Sikkim Manipal Institute of Technology is 80-85% with the efforts of their stellar TnP Cell.
Both IIT Mandi and IIIT Delhi are excellent institutions with well-established programs in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science respectively. The decision of which one to attend should depend on your personal preferences and academic goals rather than the quality of the branch. IIT Mandi is known for its strong emphasis on research, while IIIT Delhi is known for its focus on applied technology.
Both colleges give an edge to each other in terms of placements and quality of education offered. If you aren’t certain of your preference yet, it's best to go for IIT Mandi. There are 2 main reasons why I prefer IIT Mandi to IIIT Delhi.
However, solely relying on branch change is not wise and you should analyze other angles also.
I have a few friends from DCRUST Murthal. According to them, the placement record for CSE at DCRUST is quite good. Some of the core IT companies that visit DCRUST are Fidelity, TCS, Samsung, Snapdeal, Tech Mahindra, etc.
According to the recent placement highlights the average CTC offered at the institute is 3-4 LPA. While the highest CTC offered was 10 LPA. Also, you should note that placement depends a lot on the skill of the student rather than the institute.
