IIIT Sri City is considered among the 91 institutions that are declared ‘Institute of National Importance’ by MHRD. Every year 70% of students are placed in top companies. More than 70 companies participated in the recruitment drive.

NIT Andhra Pradesh is a comparatively newer establishment and the permanent campus is located at Tadepalligudem town. It has a faculty strength of 92 members. The total student intake across all departments is 480.

CSE involves the concepts of computer programming and networking, programming languages, computer software and hardware and much more. Students graduating with CSE can work as system database administrator, computer programer, engineering support specialist, data warehouse analyst, system designer, software developer, software engineer, lecturer or professor, computer operator and research analyst. Both colleges will be a good option to study CSE.

NIT Andhra Pradesh offers a 4 year BTech course in Biotechnology. The program focuses on biological sciences like microbiology, molecular biology, cell biology, genetics, etc as well as the engineering aspects of it like bioprocess engineering, biochemical engineering, thermodynamics, mass transfer, etc. It is approved by AICTE and recognized by UGC.

Unlike the IT and management sectors Biotechnology in India is still developing. They might not have the same job opportunities or salary packages as the IT or Management department. Students can receive job offers from Pharmaceutical companies, research labs and academic institutions.

JNTU Anantapur ranks 4th among the top engineering colleges in Andhra Pradesh by QS ranking. The placement rate is 80%, where a total of 430 students were placed in top MNCs. The faculty strength of the institute is 15 highly qualified members.

NIT Tadepalligudem

• The candidates must secure 45% marks for admission in BTech. 
• The selection of the candidates is based on the marks secured in JEE Main. 
• The final admission of the candidates is done through CSAB counselling.
• The total intake is 480.
• The cutoff required is in the range of 5885 - 11946.
• The fees required is INR 5.8 LPA. 

JNTU Anantapur

• The candidates must secure a minimum of 50% marks in 10+2.
• The selection in the BTech courses is based on the rank in EAMCET. 
• The total fees required is INR 4 LPA. 
• The cutoff required is 38251.
• The seats allocated are 120.

Placements:

NIT Tadepalligudem offered placement opportunities to 154 students in 2019. More than 30 recruiters have participated in the placement drive of 2019.

The top companies visit the campus of JNTU Anantapur every year. Around 5-6 companies get jobs in more than a single company with an average salary of INR 4 LPA. 

The top recruiting companies are Amazon, IBM, Cognizant, Microsoft, Voltas, Wipro, HCL, Infosys, Verizon, HP, TCS, etc. 

Faculty

Both the institutes have 30 in-house faculties and 65 ad hoc support staffs for serving the institute. 

Facilities:

• NIT Tadepalligudem has 100% residential accommodation facilities available for both male and female students.

• The campus of JNTU Anantapur is slowly and steadily increasing its area with the latest technologies.

The NIRF ranking for both NIT Arunachal Pradesh and Burdwan University is 200 and 92 respectively. Both the colleges are best in their unique aspects. Listed below are a few aspects to analyze both institutes.

NIT Arunachal Pradesh(Electrical):

Admission-

• The college accepts students based on JEE Main performance and students should get at least 75% in their 10+2 to be eligible.

• The closing cut-off rankings for Electrical in 2019 were 34836 and 306853 for other states and home state students.

• The first year fee for this course is 2.2 lakhs. However, the college ensures several scholarships and fee waiver programs.

Faculty- The Electrical Engineering department has a dedicated group of well-qualified faculty.

Placements-

• The highest and average salary of the students is 11.68 LPA and 4.2 LPA respectively.

• Companies visiting the campus are Ashok Leyland, Bajaj Auto, Havelles, Infosys, Intel, Wipro, Polaris, NOKIA, Asahi India Glass, Bharat Electronics Limited, and many more.

Burdwan University(Electronics): It offers BE courses for Electronics and Communication Engineering, i.e. 4 years long BE and 3 years long BE (lateral entry).

Admission-

• The college accepts students based on the 10+2 score and WBJEE rankings.

• The overall fee of this course for 4 years is 2.72 lakhs and for 3 years is 1.69 lakhs. Like NIT Arunachal Pradesh, the students in this college also receive scholarships and fee waivers.

Faculty- Almost all faculty members hold MTech or Ph.D. in their respective fields.

Placement-

• The average salary package received by the students is 3,5 LPA and the highest is 7.6 LPA.

• Several companies visit the campus each year. The companies visiting the campus are IBM, L&T, Infotech, Intel, Mindtree, Cognizant, PG Group, Open Text, Cloud Kaptan, Tata Consultancies, Jaro Education, and many more.

Both NIT Arunachal Pradesh and Burdwan University are reputed institutes and offer decent placement. Although the NIT tag offers certain advantages. As for which institute to choose you should decide that based on the various aspects mentioned above.

NIT Tadepalligudem is the 31st institution among the chain of NITs started by the Government of India. The institute offers BTech in eight branches of engineering with a total intake of 480 seats. 

Placements:-

The training and placement department of the institute hosts many companies and holds an impressive record for placements. 

The top companies are TCS, Wipro, Vedanta, Amazon, Deloitte, JustDial, Tata Products, Accenture, BSCPL, Microsoft, etc.

NIT Tadepalligudem offers several courses at the undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral levels. The college has highly qualified and accomplished faculty who are very experienced and experts in their domain. The institute also has a well-stocked library. Hostels are well-furnished and have the necessary facilities required for residence.

Both Mechanical engineering and computer science engineering are two different fields of study so it’s difficult to select an institute over the other.

On the basis of NIRF (National institution ranking framework score) Rankings, IIT Bhubaneswar comes under the top 20 IITs in India. There are more than 15 faculty members for mechanical engineering and their syllabus emphasizes both the technical and communication teamwork. The school of mechanical sciences offers B.Tech in mechanical engineering, a dual degree (M.Tech- M.Tech) and M.Tech in mechanical system design and thermal sciences. Every year it also provides short-term courses, national and international conferences, workshops, project work, and many more extracurriculars. The laboratories are well equipped with 30 computational workstations and other facilities such as Material testing lab instrumentation lab etc. Moving on to placement, various reputed companies visit the campus to recruit students with an average salary package of 11.15 lakh per annum.

Whereas in NIT Andhra, there are less than 15 faculty members but the infrastructure is quite good. The laboratories for CSE are also pretty good which consist of Artificial intelligence lab, data analytics lab, and Enterprise app development lab. Top companies like Amazon, Wipro, Deloitte, etc. visit during campus placement and offers an average salary package up to 5.87 lakh per annum.
