Will the new upcoming IIMs like (Rohtak, Ranchi, Trichy) overtake the SPJIMR in a few years?

PG
Payal Gupta Posted On : January 10th, 2023
PGDM from Indian Institute of Management Lucknow (Graduated 2018)

Except for IIM Rohtak, the new upcoming IIMs like Trichy and Ranchi face tough competition with SP Jain. They are almost in the same league based on certain parameters and are bound to overtake SP Jain in the future. Let’s discuss some of these parameters

  1. Students profile: IIM Trichy takes in students with a slightly higher CAT score than SP Jain thereby the quality of the batch is better.
  2. Faculty: The faculty of IIM Trichy is comparable with SP Jain in many areas.
  3. Placements: Although the placements at SP Jain are better than these new IIMs, they have been stagnant for the past few years. Moreover, the placements at IIM Trichy and Ranchi are getting better every year.
  4. Growth potential: SP Jain has a decent growth potential but not more than the new IIMs. Their potential looks more promising.
  5. Alumni base: SP Jain has an upper hand in this aspect due to its early establishment.
  6. Location: SP Jain is at a better location than the new IIMs and they might suffer because of this. Yet some consider the city of Trichy not too far away from Mumbai and the disadvantage does not seem that huge.

All in all, there are high chances of the new IIMs taking over SP Jain anytime in the near future.

How did I get my RGPV degree six year back? I had completed BE.

VK
Vidhi Khandel Posted On : November 5th, 2022
B.Tech. from Rajiv Gandhi Proudyogiki Vishwavidyalaya, Bhopal (graduated 2017)

To get your RGPV degree, firstly login to your RGPV portal. From there you can apply online for a degree. But you will have to visit the RGPV university personally if you have forgotten the password to your portal or you want your degree faster.

The best and quicker way is to go to RGPV Bhopal University with the marksheet of 8th semester. Apply for a degree there and they will likely hand over the RGPV degree within a few hours.

Which one is better, dropping a year for the BITSAT and JEE, or joining universities such as LPU or Amity?

DA
Dipankar Arora Posted On : May 31st, 2022
B.Tech Information Technology, Delhi Technological University (2020)

Drop a year only if you feel like you couldn’t do justice to your preparation and you can score better next time. Otherwise joining LPU or Amity will be the better option. These are reputed private institutes and offer decent placements to students. According to LPU placements of 2022 students received the highest CTC of INR 64.5 LPA. Amity has a good placement record for engineering branches as well. The average CTC received by most of the engineering branches is INR 6 LPA.

You can join LPU or Amity and prepare for JEE and BITSAT along with it as well. That way you won’t have to drop a year.

How can I get transcripts from IIM Raipur?

GT
Gaurav Taneja Posted On : February 8th, 2023
IIM Raipur

When it comes to obtaining transcripts for a Canada PR application, there are two main options available. One option is to travel to the university where you completed your education, in this case, IIM Raipur, from Delhi, apply for the transcripts, and wait for the university to respond before making another trip to collect them. The other option is to use an online service provider.

There are several students who chose to use the services of Click Transcripts Company to avoid multiple trips to the university and missing work. The Click Transcripts Team followed the requirements of World Education Services (WES) and was able to provide the speaker with the necessary transcripts. They are in fact glad that they found Click Transcripts Company, as the team helped in every manner to get the WES evaluation done. They were very responsive, providing updates on the application via email.

How do I apply for IIIT Allahabad?

HR
Heena Rao Posted On : March 23rd, 2021
Studies at Indian Institute of Information Technology, Lucknow (2022)

It’s not normally an easy way to secure admission in IIIT Allahabad. Although just like all the other IIITs, there is no home reservation for the state students so it doesn’t actually matter which state you belong to.

In my opinion, your All India Rank should fall somewhere under 6.5k for you to be able to get selected in a premier institute such as IIIT Allahabad.

The preparation for the examination requires a good amount of concentration and focus. It is always a good idea to revise from the last years’ question papers to get an idea of what exactly the paper looks like. It is important to revise and cover your entire syllabus before you appear in the examination before the admission process of IIIT Allahabad.

The syllabus for JEE Main as well as JEE Advanced is necessary to be covered too! Do not skip either. The concepts and basic chapters are the foundation of cracking this admission procedure.

You must constantly keep checking their official website regularly to stay updated with their admission process and declaration of results and cut-offs.

i am having a comedk rank of 27000 and according to last year cutoffs i am getting nmit ece and rnsit cse. Pease tell me what should i prefer i a only concerned about placements

First of all, congratulations on getting selected for RNSIT and NMIT. You are lucky to have more than one option to choose from. Coming to the question, since you are only concerned about placements, a comparative analysis of the figures will help you decide better.

Particulars

NMIT ECE

RNSIT CSE

Highest CTC

INR 30 LPA

INR 56 LPA

Average CTC

INR 4.8 LPA

INR 5.5 LPA

From the above table, it can be inferred that RNST has a better placement scenario and the fact that you are getting CSE, one of the most coveted branches of Engineering in itself is a big achievement.

Here is an additional list of companies that visited RNSIT last year and the highest packages they offered.

COMPANY NAME

HIGHEST PACKAGE

ADOBE

56 L

TEXAS INSTRUMENT

14.77 L

KICKDRUM

14.66 L

UIPATH

13.50 L

CIMPRESS

12 L

MAERSK GSK

9 L

HASHEDIN TECHNOLOGIES

8 L

CAPGEMINI

7.50 L

LTI - LARSEN & TOUBRO INFOTECH

7 L

I asked a friend in RNSIT about the placement review and he told me that companies started visiting from the 6th semester and more than 1000 were made. The highest package offered was INR 56 LPA and the average package is around INR 6 LPA. Another friend at NMIT ECE told me that around 150 companies came for campus placements and the highest package recorded was INR 50 LPA while the average package recorded was INR 4 LPA.

In simple words, if you are after placements go for RNSIT CSE without any second thoughts.

I had cracked NEE 1 with a good rank. Should I leave the opportunity of getting into NERIST because I want to appear for JEE after 2 years?

UK
Utkarsh Konyak Posted On : September 1st, 2021
Studied at North Eastern Regional Institute of Science and Technology (2019)

A lot of my friends studied NERIST. According to them, it offers admission in three modules, Certificate, Diploma, and Degree programs, based on the entrance scores in NEE 1, NEE 2, and NEE 3, respectively.

The eligibility for taking the NEE 1 exam is to pass matriculation or 10th class. It offers admission in the certificate program equivalent to ITI or 10+2 class as declared by UGC.

Therefore, if you take admission through NEE 1 in NERIST, two years down the line of studying the basic module, you will be equivalent to an HSC student. So, yes, you can appear for JEE.

Does the pre-programme assignment of NIET have any marks? Does it matter? Are they checked?

RM
Raj Mehra Posted On : July 8th, 2021

It's difficult to say whether it matters or not because it is totally up to the college administration. When your first-year classes begin, they will ask you for the assignment and require you to submit it before the deadline.

However, there are some students who never submit any pre-programmed assignment. So, one thing is clear, that it does not have any grades, and it is only for practice and making students ready for their upcoming exams.
