What was your story to get into AIIMS Delhi? What is your strategy?

RS
Rajashree Sengupta Posted On : May 30th, 2023
MBBS from All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi

Here is a story of my friends who got into AIIMS Delhi. He was unable to crack the M.B.B.S. of AIIMS Delhi so he decided to do it later whenever he got the opportunity. Later, he completed his MBBS from IMS BHU with an AIR 1. His UG days made him more confident and he knew he was capable enough to try again. During PG entrance, he attempted all 200 questions and surprisingly got AIR2 in AIIMS PG entrance during my internship. He also got AIR 1 in the AIIMS DM cardiology entrance exam.

When asked about the strategy he adopted to achieve such ranks, he said that all he did was dream big and work hard leaving the rest to luck. What he realized was important, was to believe in yourself even if everyone gives up on you.

I have a choice between IT (Information Technology) in NIT, Surathkal and CS (computer science) in RVCE, Bangalore. Which one would be a better choice in terms of placements, Brand name etc.?

RS
Rima Sarkar Posted On : March 22nd, 2021
IIT BHU (2019)

Between the options, you should choose NIT Surathkal IT. Here are the reasons why.

  • The syllabus difference between IT and CSE is not so much in this institute.
  • The placement process in the institute is exceptional, specifically for the circuit branches, including IT, CSE, ECE, and EEE. However, in the last year, students are recruited by Google and Microsoft.
  • NITK has its own brand name. Maybe it is an NIT, but the students here get a lot of exposure. JEE Mains toppers mainly take admission in this institute every year.

Here is a full overview of NIT Surathkal

You will have to stay here in the hostel, which provides a good experience for them. During the tenure of the course, you will learn how to take care of yourself. Also, if your hometown is Bangalore, then you can frequently visit home.

ST
Sarita Thakur Posted On : February 3rd, 2021
M.Sc Biotechnology from Mahatma Gandhi University (2019)

The choice to best book can be made only after a judicious preparation for examinations. Once the strategy is figured out; a clear cut option can be visualised in link to study material & its choices.

  • A lot of aspirants focus on books but the quantity will never be able to fix your seat surely.
  • A sincere examination of scoring areas should be made in order to keep certain areas strong enough to score.
  • The general category students should always aim for JRF directly as there is no point in aiming for a small target. A large target would lead to bigger achievements.
  • They are complementary and are generally in a package with whole analysis of previous year question papers & key areas to focus.
  •  A common notion is also towards not preferring books as the internet has sufficient data but that totally depends on the aspirant.

Individuals looking for a particular CSIR Life Science examinations book; catalyst publications are a good option. Initially you can go for books designed for cracking the exam but they may not be able to provide a great conceptual understanding of topics are :

What is the average cost of the CSE program at UIT RGPV?

OR
Orchid Roy Posted On : August 20th, 2021
B.E from University Institute of Technology, RGPV (2018)

My brother recently graduated from UIT RGPV. Generally, you will have to pay a minimum of 2.5 lakhs, which includes test fees. If you're lucky enough to get a decent PET score, another alternative is TFNP, which doesn't require you to pay tuition and helps you to finish your degree in and around 1 lakh easily.

The year-wise course fee is around 25,000. In the first year, college buses are compulsory so you have to pay around 8,000 - 10,000 for it. You also need to pay for the semester examination form fee which is around 1300.

Is it good to pursue an M.tech. in energy engineering at NIT Trichy?

SP
Shankar Pandey Posted On : March 28th, 2023
B.Tech Production and Industrial Engineering, National Institute of Technology, Tiruchirappalli (2020)

If you are a mechanical engineer, pursuing an M.Tech in Energy at NIT Trichy would be an excellent choice for you. The program is well-designed and provides in-depth knowledge about energy systems and sustainability. The course curriculum is mostly based on mechanical engineering principles, which makes it easier for mechanical engineers to understand and excel in the program.

NIT Trichy M.Tech Energy placements are also good, with reputed companies visiting the campus for recruitment. As a mechanical engineer, you will have many opportunities to sit in various company placements and internships, which may lead to a job offer.

However, if you are an electrical engineer, you may face some challenges during the course as it is mostly based on mechanical engineering principles. This may affect your understanding of the subject and affect your performance in the program. Additionally, for placements, companies may not prefer an energy engineer with an electrical engineering background.

But, if you are interested in research and higher studies, pursuing M.Tech Energy at NIT Trichy is still a good option. The campus has a solar energy lab and equipment, which provides opportunities for research in the field of energy.

For Chemical and Biotech engineers, NIT Trichy is a good place to pursue research if you are interested in the field. The campus has good research facilities and provides opportunities for research in the field of energy, sustainability, and biotechnology. However, there may not be many core placements for these disciplines.

If you are a mechanical engineer or interested in research, pursuing M.Tech Energy at NIT Trichy can be a good option. However, if you are an electrical, chemical, or biotech engineer, you should carefully consider the challenges and opportunities of the program before making a decision.
