Yes, BITS Pilani is worth taking a year drop irrespective of whichever branch you will be getting.
I will tell you an anecdote about a friend who wanted to get admission at BITS Pilani but failed to clear it in the first year. He ended up taking ECE in an average college but still yearned for BITS Pilani and decided to give himself a second chance. Surprisingly enough he got MSc. Economics in BITS Pilani. He decided to take the dual degree and convinced his parents who were against the idea of dropping ECE and taking Economics at a remotely located college.
Fortunately, luck stayed on his side and he was offered a stipend in his internship much higher than what his counterparts were earning in their full-time jobs. Later, he got admitted to the Masters of Finance program at Massachusetts Institute of Technology. The year drop did not stop him from achieving great heights and fulfilling his dreams.

ICAR AIEEA UG Stream A examination doesn’t require special preparation like NEET or IIT JEE. Stream A has three sections - Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and Architecture. If you have a clear idea about the fundamentals of these subjects then you can easily score decent marks with a few days of preparation.
- Around 90% of the Physics section will be numerical. So, solve all types of numerical problems from 11 and 12th.

Both ISI Kolkata and ISI Delhi are excellent institutes offering the MS in Quantitative Economics program. It’s difficult to compare the two as they have similar admission criteria, placement, and even scholarship opportunities.
However, if I had been in your place, I would have chosen ISI Kolkata as it has more courses, professors, and students. The students get to interact with students in non-MSQE courses.
What are the best branches at NIT Jamshedpur?
In terms of placement opportunities, CSE is the best branch at NIT Jamshedpur. CSE students bags the highest number of placements. During NIT Jamshedpur placements 2022, the highest CTC received by CSE students was INR 56 LPA. If you are good at coding, you can easily bag a CTC of above INR 10 LPA. IISc Bangalore does not grant admission solely to highly intelligent people. Rather, IISc Bangalore makes people highly intelligent. I say this out of my personal experience.
When I entered IISc Bangalore, I knew I was not highly intelligent. I was, however, deeply inclined toward learning and research.
My interview for IISc Bangalore ran for around two hours. The interview began with-
“Plot y=k exp(cx) for different values of k and c (positive, negative, and combination)”, and it ended in my M.Tech thesis. I tried to derive all the values and answer all the questions. Whenever I got stuck, the faculty members helped me conclude.
At IISc Bangalore, you will become more and more inclined towards learning. You will understand yourself and your goals. Then, how people label you won’t be of any importance to you.
Is Ramanujan College DU a good choice?
It would be an excellent choice. It became an independent morning college in 2013, and its growth has been phenomenal since then.
