If you are willing to pursue B.Tech and we’re not able to make it into IITs or NITs, then I suggest taking a drop year and applying for better engineering colleges than making a hasty decision and choosing IMS. The reason why I advise you on giving up IMS is that its Engineering department is not up to the mark. The quality of education is very poor and in the end, you will just end up with a Degree Certificate and no knowledge or innovative grooming. If you decide on a certain branch then it’s important to know that no matter which specialization you go for, you will be placed under TCs or any other local software company. You won’t be able to climb higher than this. So if your goals and standards are high I suggest you think twice before choosing IMS.
It is important to evaluate IIFT Delhi, IIFT Kolkata, and NMIMS Mumbai for an MBA in Marketing and compare their offerings, including curriculum, placement opportunities, and return on investment (ROI).
IIFT Delhi and Kolkata are both part of the Indian Institutes of Foreign Trade (IIFT) and offer similar programs and opportunities. As such, when comparing IIFT with other institutions such as NMIMS, IIFT is considered to be superior in many aspects.
One of the key advantages of IIFT is its better ROI. The course curriculum is designed to provide a rigorous education with a focus on international business. Additionally, IIFT has a strong track record of improving its placements each year. The current batch of students has achieved the highest placements among all top B-schools, including the Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs).
In considering these factors, IIFT may be a strong option for those looking for a graduate program in management with a focus on international business and strong placement opportunities. However, it is important to conduct thorough research and evaluate all options before making a final decision.
All the three colleges are good. However, according to me, NIT JSR and BIT Mesra are better than NIT Agartala. For a core Engineering branch though, NIT JSR is a better choice over BIT Mesra. So your preference order for Civil should be NIT JSR> BIT Mesra> NIT Agartala.
Here are a few comparison points between NIT JSR and BIT Mesra to helTithi agp you choose between the two-
BIT Mesra is a better option for CSE. However, for a core branch, NIT JSR is a better choice. My brother chose Civil at NIT JSR over Civil at BIT Mesra and he did not regret his decision. Also, never choose an institution based off of NIRF rankings because they consider many factors, and many of them are irrelevant for you.
Both these institutes carry the NIT tag, so they have equal brand value. I don’t know much about the ground reality at MNNIT. However, ranking wise, MNIT is surely ahead of it.
MNIT Jaipur offers one of the best faculties and topnotch placements. Besides that, the college has improved its infrastructure manifold. Here are some highlights on the infrastructural facilities at MNIT-
It’s modern infrastructure, top-notch faculty, and high placements have resulted in making MNIT a top engineering college.
You will have to consider quite a few things before you decide between these 3 places. Most of my friends agreed that ECE is one of the toughest branches in engineering.
Additionally, other job roles you can expect from these institutes include managers in various industries. These will highly depend on your luck and personal leaning. You can expect a pay of INR 5 to 15 lakhs per annum. However, a drawback is that these companies look at your academic profile heavily. So if you have a lower grade, it is possible that this could stand as a setback.
Finally, when it comes to Tier 3 colleges NIT Rourkela is better, the job prospects from these colleges are not that great. You can expect to have a salary of INR 3 to 4 lakhs per annum with most jobs in service based companies.
One of my friends studied at YMCA while my sister studied at IPU. I can share their experiences and let's see who won:
Placement is what matters to most, however, it's not the only parameter of comparison but because YMCA tops in placements which is an essential factor nevertheless, it wins!
NITs ranks after IITs in India and thus have great relevance in terms of both academics as well as placement.
Maharaja Surajmal Institute of Technology has been positioned under the rank band of 151-200 among 906 engineering institutions across the country which also includes all IITs/IIITs/NITs.
Admissions:
NIT Delhi:
B.Tech admission in NIT Delhi (CSE)is based on the merit scored in JEE Main followed by JoSAA counselling. After declaring the entry exam results, the students can log in to the JoSAA website to apply for the counselling process.
Last year, for the general category the cut off of JEE Main was opened at 3287 and closed at 6362.
MSIT:
The admissions in MSIT (CSE) will only be based on the student's merit at JEE Mains Paper.
By applying for an IPU CET Exam, B.Sc graduates may receive a lateral entry into B.Tech programmes.
The tuition fee for NIT Delhi CSE is INR 5.16 lakhs for 4 years. The total fees in MAIT CSE for a span of 4 years is 4.47 lakhs.
Placements:
MSIT:
Maharaja Agrasen Technology Institute has a separate training and positioning cell.
Some of the top companies that recruit applicant from CSE in MAIT are Accenture, LIBSYS, Infosys, Sapient, TCS, Deloitte, Hughes Systique, Cognizant, Tata Power DDL, Amazon, TASL, Samsung, ION Trading, Wipro, Deloitte, Newgen etc.
The average CTC offered to the students of MSIT was 6 LPA.
NIT Delhi:
With a record of 95%, a total of 40 companies took part, and 150 job offers were made as the release of the placement records of 2019 in NIT Delhi reveals.
The highest offered salary package was Rs 32 LPA, and the average salary package offered was Rs 7 LPA.
Top recruitment companies that have visited the campus are Future First, Samsung, Mac Software, Paytm, Reliance, Akash Institute, Mu Sigma, Oracle FSS, PWC, Infosys and Wipro and they majorly recruit candidates who opt CSE.
CSE offered by both the colleges stands high in some of the other parameters, so it's entirely up to the applicant to which college to take admission in.
I have said this before. No college is better than the other. It’s just a matter of preferences and suitability. Yet you are here comparing some 3 best B Schools in India. Neither of the 3 colleges is lacking in any aspect. So you won’t be making a bad choice by choosing one from FMS, XLRI, or IIM Lucknow.
The most crucial step while choosing a college is checking your priorities and knowing what you want from the college and where you are headed to in the future. Once you are determined in what you are seeking no college can really stop you. So don’t worry about the confidentiality at IIM Lucknow. With the right mindset, you can make the best out of it. I think focusing on the following aspects will help you make a better decision
Once you have set your goals, all the above 3 colleges will help you achieve them. Lastly, don't choose IIM Lucknow for its IIM tag. If you are honest with your goals, the IIM brand value is not more than a mere tag.
The minimum cutoff for the general category is 90, whereas the cutoff for OBC is 82 at IIM Lucknow.

The final selection of a candidate is based on his position in the merit list. The merit list is prepared by calculating the Grand Total for all the students.
Grand Total = Shortlist Total + GDPI Total
SPJIMR has been among the top 5 or 10 B Schools over the past few years consistently. Its brand value can be compared to XLRI, FMS, and even IIMs except for IIM ABC. This is because even now there are some roles offered to IIM ABC students that are not offered at SPJIMR. But this is not a major issue as these roles seek only extraordinary profiles and In Fact, many other roles offered at IIM ABC are lower than average.
In SPJIMR even the lowest package is decent and the range of salary is not very broad. This year, SPJIMR's average package stood at INR 33.02 LPA.
Other key points to note in comparison to old IIMs is that our Highest CTC is lower than that of IIMs but our Lowest CTC is higher than that of IIMs. So I will suggest anyone with an exceptionally good profile to choose IIM whereas someone with a decent average profile should go for SPJIMR only. It is important to note that getting roles at SPJIMR is a bit easier than IIMs mainly because of the small batch size and less competition.
In terms of placement, NITIE is the best followed by SIBM Pune, and finally IIM Rohtak. In terms of brand value, IIM Rohtak comes first, followed by NITIE and then SIBM.
Depending on whether you want the IIM tag, you should attend NITIE, SIBM Pune, or IIM Rohtak for Operations. NITIE has a firm grasp on operations and is well-known for it. Furthermore, the Mumbai location is advantageous. If you want to pursue a career in marketing, SIBM Pune should be your first choice.
IIM Rohtak will be considered after these two colleges because it is a relatively new brand that, like the other IIMs, will take time to establish itself.
