Firstly let me clarify something. The 3-year work experience is not a suitable deciding factor for choosing a college. You should decide on a college on the basis of these parameters
Now I will further compare the pros and cons of NMIMS and newer IIMs
Pros
NMIMS
New IIMs
Cons
NMIMS
New IIMs
Now it’s your job to analyze which pros are more important for you to avail and which cons can be a major hindrance in your career.
Deciding to drop out from IIM Calcutta is definitely a very difficult decision. One has to go through a lot to make it. Now if you get a repeat year don’t get demotivated. The first step should be to analyze the reason for your failure.
In case of sickness or personal reasons: Such reasons should be given a second chance. Don’t just give up your bright future just because you failed to accomplish it in due time.
Failed in certain subjects: There are two scenarios to be considered here. First, you are confident that you will now put in extra effort and make it through. Then you should definitely repeat. But if you are not confident and think you won’t be able to make it again then don’t waste your time and efforts repeating. It’s normal not to be able to accomplish certain things that others can. There are always other options that might be better for you.
The most important thing is what your reason for repeating the year is. And honestly, you know best whether you should repeat the year or not.
The BA course has been recently initiated at both institutes. Without second thoughts, Great Lakes has top-notch faculty who handle the courses meticulously. But the competitor IIM Calcutta makes the discussion more difficult.
The only difference between the two courses is that IIM Calcutta has probably started the BA course because of its flagship PGPM program under the IIMC brand. Whereas Great Lakes BA is another flagship program. So the focus might be better.
Choose IIM Calcutta if you are willing to attach yourself to its brand name for the rest of your life.
Without any doubt, I will suggest you choose MDI Gurgaon over IIM Trichy. Some points that favor my opinion are
I think these points are enough to convince you to join MDI Gurgaon.
If you are a marketing enthusiast, IMI Delhi is a much preferable option for you. IIT Roorkee is known for its specialization in Operations and Systems only. To avail of an enriching B School experience one must try not to go for a technical institute unless it is IIT Bombay or IIT Delhi. While the Department of Managements of IITs do excel in Operations they lack in domains such as finance, marketing, HR, and strategic management. Only the exclusive B Schools excel in these specializations.
The main requisites of a rich B School life are
Corporate exposure is sought through corporate competitions, guest lectures , conclaves, and live projects owing to alumni connections and the location advantage of being in Delhi or Mumbai. At a B School the clubs and committees are initiated and operated by Management students themselves whereas, at IITs, it’s the younger BTech graduates that do so.
So it’s the core B School life you will be missing out if you chose DOM at any Technical institute. No doubt the fees are much lower than an exclusive B School but you will be missing other things big time.
IIM Udaipur boasts of an enriched research culture. So I think one should prefer IIM Udaipur over IIM Raipur. Yet if you want me to draw a slight comparison between the two the table below will help.

Asking others if you should join a certain program is illogical. I think it’s a decision that you have to take solely yourself. People can guide you in your decision but cannot make the decision on your behalf. That is exactly what I am here for. I will list down the parameters you should consider while making your decision. The rest is up to you.
Once you are sure about these things, making a good decision will become easier for you.
Considering the ROI and fees, JBIMS is a better option than IIM Lucknow. Also, it is affiliated with Mumbai University so has a brand name also. But in reality, these factors are short-term and cannot be considered if you are investing in your career.
Overall, IIM Lucknow has an upper hand in almost all aspects. Be it placements, faculty, or brand name. Had I been in your place I would have chosen IIM Lucknow mainly because
Both these aspects are lacking in the case of JBIMS because it is standalone and has a very weak alumni network. It also lacks accommodation facilities.
Overall both colleges have roughly the same worth and choosing one over the other is just a matter of preference.
Firstly both the institutes IIM Rohtak and IIT offer 2 courses in 2 different fields namely Management and Engineering. So the first thing you need to do is find your interest and then choose the college. In case you are interested in both, I will suggest you go for IIT because
IIM Rohtak has very few graduates in the market because of its new establishment. Because of this, it lacks in many aspects so I won’t suggest you risk your career by choosing it.
My choice will forever be IIM Udaipur solely because of the IIM tag. I know people will criticize me for this mindset but one cannot ignore the IIM brand name. Moreover IIT is a top technical institute but it’s a fact that its Management Department is not at par with the top B Schools.
Overall I feel curriculum-wise IIM has more to offer than an IIT simple because of the fact that it specializes in the field.
