Should I prepare from RS Aggarwal's Quantitative Aptitude book for IPM at IIM Indore/Rohtak?

Preparing from RS Agarwal will not be of much use. Because the questions in IPM or BMS exams are of a slightly higher level and involve more than just conceptual usage, but also a little bit of trickery. These are usually practical questions rather than theoretical ones.

These types of questions are not found in the books of RS Agarwal or RD Sharma. Rather, they can be found in books designed specifically for IPM or CAT preparation. You do not need to go for RS Aggarwal or RD Sharma, but rather for books that are specifically designed for the IPM or CAT entrance exams.

How do I prepare for the GD and PI rounds for admission at an ACM course at NICMAR Pune?

YP
Yashaswini Parashar Posted On : May 2nd, 2023

If you are a fresher:Technical and non-technical questions are likely to be there. In technical questions, they will ask you about your favorite subjects, projects, and industrial training or internship from graduation. Tell them two to three favorite subjects, tell them about your minor and major projects, and tell them about your training/internship and what you learned there. Before going for PI, make sure you know your favorite subjects and revise them.

If you have work experience: They'll undoubtedly inquire about your last employment, what you learned, what projects you've worked on, etc. To test your communication skills, they'll inquire about yourself and why you want to join NICMAR.

How do I prepare for the 1st-semester RGPV exams?

YA

B.E from Rajiv Gandhi Proudyogiki Vishwavidyalaya, Bhopal

If you are a profound student who wants to do something worthwhile after finishing your engineering degree, you must first master the fundamentals. Following that, you must read good books or references on the subject. You can also watch online video lectures on YouTube. You should have good logical thinking and imagination for Engineering Drawing.

You should not rely solely on YouTube; instead, look into other options such as reading books, magazines, and so on. The most important requirement is self-study. Aside from watching YouTube lectures or making Notes & Assignments, you'll need to devote enough time to a specific subject.

Concentrate intently on your desired outcome. You must have a strong command of the English language, excellent communication skills, and software skills in C, C++, Java, JavaScript, and Python.

Aside from that, focus on Aptitude and Reasoning from the start; it will help you in the coming years when you will be facing campus. If you are a civil or mechanical engineering student, you must be proficient in software such as AutoCAD, CATIA, and others.

You simply need to create a clear strategy from the first semester onwards and focus on each of these things, and you will gain the advantages sooner or later.

How do I prepare for the IIT Madras PhD written test/interview in chemical engineering?

MR
Megha Rathi Posted On : March 31st, 2023
Studied at IIT Madras (2019)

My friend is a PhD student at IIT Madras and shared his interview experience which is similar in all the branches.

Candidates are shortlisted based on written exams that make it easy for the panels to choose among the best. This exam comprises basic GATE-level MCQs and very few questions related to the department. The entire selection procedure is wrapped in 3-4 days. The written test is quite basic and is checked by research or teaching assistants. A few departments like applied mechanics have some difficult questions related to the discipline. But this is a rare occurrence.

Usually, the level of difficulty of the exam depends on the number of candidates. It’s advisable to go through the basic topics before attempting the written test and you are good to go.

How many mocks should be sufficient for the IPM IIM Indore exam?

AJ
Arshit Jain Posted On : January 12th, 2023
Studies at Integrated Programme in Management, IIM Indore (Expected 2025)

Mock exams are unquestionably the most crucial part of the IPMAT Indore exam preparation. If you carefully analyze each mock exam, about 25 to 30 would be enough to pass this one. You won't benefit from mocking someone just for the sake of mocking someone. In essence, you're just wasting your time if you don't spend two to three hours analyzing each mock. Accordingly, 1-2 months should be sufficient for you to comfortably administer and evaluate 30 mock exams.

By taking practice exams, be sure to come up with a winning strategy that will help you perform well on the real exam.
