The Humanities and social science entrance examination at IIT Madras is conducted for admission in the integrated MA course. This exam is highly competitive. The important steps for the preparation of HSSE are as follows.

Go through the full syllabus at least once. Go through the NCERT books or through your textbooks from your respective school boards.
For subjects such as History, English and Current Affairs, follow the best competitive books found in the market with previous year papers and a detailed analysis of the last few papers.
Essay writing is the most important part of the examination. So, practice writing essays a lot and get them checked by someone who has good knowledge of English.
