As a candidate interested in pursuing an MBA from JBIMS, you should aim to score a 99.97 percentile or higher in the MH-CET examination. Currently, JBIMS does not conduct a GDPI, and admission is based on the Centralized Admission Process (CAP) round, organized by the DTE. The institute has a limited number of 120 seats.

How is the English MA course in IGNOU University?

PA
Padmini Alina Posted On : October 20th, 2022
Masters in English in English (language), Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU)

It is extremely convenient to pursue an M.A. in English through IGNOU. The only problem is that the course materials are delivered very late. However, you are not required to rely on or wait for the materials. Because the materials remain the same year after year, they can be obtained from anyone who has already completed the course or from used bookstores. To be honest, the material isn't much help. In fact, guidebooks are more beneficial because they also provide you with the previous year's question papers, which are extremely helpful in understanding the exam question pattern, and once understood, you are guaranteed to score above 55% on your first attempt.

You have five years to complete your course, which consists of eight credits, four in the first year and four in the second. It is mandatory to submit the assignment for the paper you wish to sit for during the exams, which are held twice a year. It is entirely up to you whether to take all exams at once or spread them out over all ten semesters. In short, if you are determined, you can complete your master's degree in two years by taking two papers each semester. Contact classes are scheduled; if possible, attend them as they will get you started on your preparation and keep you motivated.

Doing some research for your assignment and attempting to keep your answer original rather than copying from the guide will increase your chances of getting good grades on the assignments. If you fail a paper in the semester exam, you have the option of retaking it in subsequent semesters until you achieve a passing mark.

So, get the reference books, analyze the question pattern, turn in your assignment, and begin studying for the exam.

How is the Bharti Vidyapith College of Engineering, Pune good?

RD
Rhea Dhar Posted On : April 20th, 2021
Studied at Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University, Pune (2019)

It is quite a decent place. You can look at various parameters to help you decide. Here are a few points that will help you clarify your decision:

  • Placements: As far as placements are concerned, for the year 2018-2019, about 60% of students were placed as per my knowledge. This number is increasing over the days and the average salary is INR 3 LPA. Some of the top recruiters at the college include JSW, Reliance, ONGC, etc.
  • Infrastructure: The college has multiple labs, a library as well a Wi-Fi facility. The labs are also very well equipped at departments like IT, Instrumentation, Chemical, and Computer engineering. The technology is also updated as required. You will appreciate the library as well and have a big space for reading. The hostel is also quite good with meals provided thrice a day and a good quad lawn space.
  • Faculty: The faculty is known to deliver what they know best about the subject. They are quite focused and experienced individuals. They also conduct quite a few fun activities to increase the bonding between students and faculty. You will also be industry-ready as far as the curriculum is concerned. You will enjoy your time here and it will definitely be worth your money.
  • Miscellaneous: There are a number of technical events and cultural fests conducted throughout the year at the college. You will also see a mixed crowd of engineering, medical, management, and architecture students. There are also quite a few fashion shows, celebrity and guest appearances along sports competitions. The alumni meet is also looked forward to.

You will surely have a great time during your four years as a student here.

Which AIIMS stands second to AIIMS Delhi?

On the basis of various rankings, the order of AIIMS as preferred by students is as follows

AIIMS

Fees

Ranking (NIRF)

AIIMS Delhi

INR 1.47K 1st Year Fees

9 out of 200

AIIMS Bhopal

INR 3.38K Total Fees

-

AIIMS Bhubaneswar

INR 5.86K 1st Year Fees

20 out of 53 by India Today

AIIMS Jodhpur

INR 1.63K 1st Year Fee

86 out of 200

AIIMS Patna

INR 1.63K 1st Year Fees

-

AIIMS Raipur

INR 3.17K Total Fees

31 out of 53 by India Today

AIIMS Rishikesh

INR 32.40K Total Fees

101 out of 200

AIIMS Delhi, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, and Jodhpur are considered the top 4 AIIMS. All these 2012-established AIIMS are somewhat similar in terms of infrastructure and academics. The lab facilities are more or less accustomed. These institutes have minor differences like sports and recreational activities which in reality don’t matter considering the fact that you are a medical student and everything apart from studies is secondary.

I would like to conclude by saying that the most important factor to consider while choosing an AIIMS should be the distance from your home or hometown.

Are top NITs (Trichy, Warangal etc.) better than the new IITs (Jodhpur etc.) in terms of placement?

SS
Savi Sharma Posted On : August 2nd, 2023

I would like to compare the top NITs with new IITs like IIT Jodhpur on several parameters, first talking about the placements as that is your biggest concern. By new IITs here I mean IIT Jodhpur and its contemporary IITs.

  • Placements- Initially, the top NITs were a lot better in terms of placements. However, new IITs have shown tremendous growth and their placements have come at par with the top NITs. For 2023 B.Tech placements, the highest package offered at IIT Jodhpur stood at INR 53 LPA, the average package stood at INR 21.30 LPA and the median package stood at INR 16.50 LPA.
  • Campus Life- Both the top NITs and new IITs like IIT Jodhpur have a great campus life. Now that the new IITs have their own permanent campuses, they offer their students all the facilities.
  • Brand Value- Surely the new IITs do not carry as great a reputation as the old established IITs. However, the new IITs offer you the IIT tag which has a great reputation both inside and outside India.
  • Branch Choice- It is always better to choose the branch that you will enjoy studying. If you get a good branch at an NIT/new IIT, choose that instead of a mediocre branch at an old IIT. This opinion, however, is highly subjective. Some of my friends believe quite the opposite.
  • Alumni Network- The top NITs are way older than the new IITs. That is why their alumni network is way stronger.

I would say that unlike in the past, today both old NITs and new IITs are at par. You should consider all the above factors and also your locational preference before arriving at a decision. One of my seniors told me that new IITs are growing tremendously and will soon outperform the top NITs at this rate.

Are top NITs (Trichy, Warangal etc.) better than the new IITs (Jodhpur etc.) in terms of placement?

AR
Aditi Roy Posted On : July 24th, 2023
lives in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh, India

I am going to impose an opinion that many will be criticizing. No matter how good an NIT is, it can never be at par with the IIT tag, the most coveted engineering tag that enjoys excellent global recognition.

Every engineering aspirant after the 12th plans to get into IITs. Only when he or she fails to do so, do they resort to other engineering colleges. That’s when the top NITs come into the picture. IITs are not just a brand but the pioneers of technical education in India. You will find no engineering aspirant who does not dream of getting into one.

That being said, IIT is a world-renowned brand name and will always stand above other colleges be it the new or the old ones. As for the placements, they depend more on individual skills and profiles than the institute. The IIT tag will just help you make matters easier.

I got CSE at IIT Delhi. Can I get a single room in the first year?

AG
Ankit Gupta Posted On : April 1st, 2023
Bachelor of Technology in Computer Engineering at Delhi Technological University

Do you think getting admission to the most coveted branch will also give access to the most coveted housing facilities? Well, you are wrong, inside IIT your rank has no value. You will be treated like any other student with equal amenities at your disposal.

At IIT Delhi, every student is allotted a room randomly without any discrimination. First-year students usually get 2-seater or 3-seater rooms depending on the hostel they are assigned to.

The single rooms you were asking for are usually allotted in the last year but some lucky students get a single room from the 3rd year in a new hostel like Girnar or Udaigiri. But regardless, your hostel will become your new home. Irrespective of the kind of rooms you are allotted, you get adapted to them and make splendid memories and new friends.

What is the best placement story at Madras Institute of Technology (MIT)?

SR
Shadab Raza Posted On : April 29th, 2021
B.E from Madras Institute of Technology, Tamil Nadu, India (2019)

The best placement story would be that of my friend's brother and here's why - he is everything you can imagine. He has been a very multidimensional person with active participation in workshops and extracurriculars, he was the class representative and is a topper as well with a 9.2 CGPA.

The story goes somewhat like this -

  • In the middle of September, the placement count of the production department was 1/55. Only one student was placed with CitiCorp. Following this, Titan, Hyundai, and Caterpillar came for recruitment as well.
  • After five days of presentations, tests, GD, and interviews those who had applied for Caterpillar assembled at the CEG campus' CUIC auditorium, where students were given technical and aptitude tests to solve.
  • My friend's brother qualified up to GD but wasn't able to crack it. However, he wasn't disappointed and the next day took the Titan online test in the IT Department but the result got delayed and the company was not reachable.
  • Although to his surprise, Caterpillar again came for recruitment along with M&M and Vedanta. This was probably the last opportunity for all to get placed with a core company.
  • These time marks from the previous rounds were being considered by Caterpillar and he has reached up to GD. He became busy preparing for that even while traveling or eating and did make it to the personal interview.

He recollected all the basics of engineering and was ready with his resume points and by 6 pm he made it to the job with his perseverance. I hope this inspires you to make the best of your time.
