Which are the top branded institutes/colleges/university in India like IIM Indore IPM for doing dual courses of BBA+MBA after 12th Commerce?

VS
Vihaan Sharma Posted On : January 12th, 2023
IPM from Indian Institute of Management Rohtak (Graduated 2022)

IPM is a five-year integrated management program that combines either a BBA or BMS with an MBA. Students who want to pursue careers in management and leadership after completing their XIIth or higher secondary education can register for these courses. Only students who are certain of their goals and who are interested in management should enroll in this integrated course because, over the course of five years, they will only learn about business management and how to become the ideal manager.
These integrated programs are unique in that they offer dual degree programs as well. A second entrance exam is not required in order to enroll in a graduate program. To enroll in the course, there is only one entrance exam.
The following list includes some of the top IPM colleges in India along with information on how to apply.

  • IIM Indore launched the IPM program in 2011 for young students who wanted to go into management or leadership after finishing their XII classes. The program's learning objectives are broken down into the first three years of the bachelor's program, and the following two years will follow the PG program's curriculum.
  • IIM Rohtak launched the IPM program in 2019 and was successful in quickly filling 150 seats.

IPMAT is the entrance exam for IPM (as opposed to IPMAT for IIMI), and it has a different exam format and scoring system than IIM I. Following WAT and Interviews at designated IIM R locations, the second round is conducted.

  • The oldest existing university is Mumbai University, which is situated in Mumbai, Maharashtra (1857). With 60 seats available for the course, it offers an integrated management program that divides the first three years into a BMS degree and the final two years into an MBA degree.
  • Following the 12th grade, Jindal Global Business School has developed this innovative and distinctive course of an integrated program that includes BBA(Hons)+MBA and lasts for five years. It is a course that equips students with a global outlook through a special approach to learning and communication.
Choosing a college wisely has become increasingly important, so students should not only pay attention to the college's physical facilities but also to the curriculum it will use for their semesters. This provides students with a clear picture of the courses they will be taking at that specific college. One thing to keep in mind when reviewing the curriculum is that UG courses shouldn't be repeated in PG courses because this would lessen the integrity of the courses and allow students to observe evolution in them.

What should I choose considering the branch change opportunities, electrical at IIT Mandi or electrical at IIT Ropar?

PD
Prerona Dasgupta Posted On : March 31st, 2021
B.Tech Computer Science and Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology, Mandi (2020)

There is a branch change provision at IIT Mandi which is very lenient too. So if you are confused with your branch and you wish to change your branch in the future, then you should choose IIT Mandi.

One of my friends was in a similar situation a few years back and he opted for IIT Mandi for its flexible branch change policies. He was able to change his branch to CSE. To change your branch to CSE, you will need a CGPA of around 8.6.

IIT Mandi has a 50% branch change allowance whereas at IIT Roper it is 10%. To know more about the branch change rules you can visit the official website.

Has anyone gotten into IIIT Allahabad?

AN
Ajay Nayak Posted On : October 13th, 2023
studied at Indian Institute of Information Technology, Allahabad (2021)

Yes, many students get admission to IIIT Allahabad every year. Many of my close friends got admission to IIIT Allahabad and are currently pursuing a B.Tech student. However, I heard from them that it was quite difficult for general males having CRL Rank 5044 to get a seat in the IT branch. This was because the cutoffs have been increasing. Many friends managed to get a seat in CSAB special round 2.

Which should one choose for studying, IITM or IIIT Hyderabad for CSE?

Sabeer Chalana Posted On : August 1st, 2023

One of my friends has completed both his Bachelor’s and Master’s in CS from IIIT Hyderabad and still suggested his younger brother go for IIT Madras.

He feels that IIIT Hyderabad certainly gives you an edge in getting placed initially but it restricts your prospects to a large extent. IIT Madras on the other hand gives a wider perspective and scope. Students get to learn specifics in their sub-field.

The lab facilities offered at both institutes are equally good. However, you can join as an intern/RA later in any of these institutes. So this affects the research edge in specific areas. IIT Madras seems to have better research options mainly because of its huge size.

Outside life shouldn’t be a problem in either institute because both are excellently located and offer a great urban life. So look at the vegged picture and choose wisely!

What has more value, an IPM from IIM Indore or a BBA from some reputed college and then an MBA from some top IIM?

FS
Farah Shah Posted On : January 12th, 2023
Studies Integrated Programme in Management, IIM Indore (Expected 2024)

First, keep in mind that you're looking for a program that will help you develop your entire personality while also giving you access to cutting-edge amenities and facilities and an assured MBA from one of the best B schools in the nation. The IPM course offered by IIM Indore is ideal for you if this is what you're looking for.

If, however, you are solely interested in a BBA program and are confident that you can enter IIM ABC after BBA despite the competition from roughly 2 lakh engineers, then go for it.

However, if you choose to do so, you also have the choice to leave the IPM after receiving your undergraduate degree and enroll in a better business school to complete your MBA. Therefore, if you must choose between the two, it is advised that you go with the first because it will give you better exposure, a more competitive environment, better amenities, and a rare opportunity to graduate from an IIM that is among the top 5 in the nation.

Internships at IIT Kharagpur are usually research based on a specific topic. To apply for research internships, check the listed steps first:

  • Firstly choose a good topic for research and study it deeply.
  • Once you have chosen a topic, visit the official website of IIT KGP and go to the faculty section. Look into the research work of the faculty of every department. Look for research work that matches your area of interest.
  • Once you find that faculty, contact him/her through email and send your cover letter.

Additional tips would be to write a very good cover letter and have a good academic background to get a good internship offer.

Which is better, BITS Pilani or CBIT?

PK
Prakhar Kumar Posted On : July 29th, 2021
M.Tech Computer Science & Data Analytics, Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani

BITS Pilani is definitely the better college as compared to CBIT. I do not have much idea about CBIT. BITS has a league of its own.

Here are some key points about BITS:

  • It has a really good academic culture and is one of the best academic institutions after IITs for engineering degrees.
  • The college is much better than many Indian engineering colleges when it comes to infrastructure, placements, brand as well as campus life.
  • BITS Pilani focuses on open learning as well as dual specialization.
  • You will experience quality teaching and have a really good global alumni base.

You can compare other IITs like IITB, IITM, IITK for better or for the worse. But, keep in mind that this does not mean that other top governments or private colleges are not equally good or even comparable to BITS. It all boils down to the pedigree, which is the only thing that matters.

A lot of colleges across the country are making huge strides in efforts to tackle leading colleges within the next 8 to 10 years. It all depends upon how strategically the college invests and commits to doing better. From what little knowledge we have about CBIT, it really does not compare much in this aspect.

What are modes of transportation in IIT Madras (Chennai)?

TB
Tithi Banerjee Posted On : March 30th, 2023
B.Tech from Indian Institute of Technology, Madras (2021)

As a student of IIT Madras, you will have to travel to the Main Gate, Velachery gate, and your classes in the Class Room Complex located at a distance of 4,2, and 1 km respectively from your hostel. Some common ways of commuting inside the campus are

  • Walking: Some health freaks may prefer walking to and fro from the hostel to the CRC which is in reality a difficult task considering the hot climate.
  • Shuttle service: These buses are helpful if you need to get to the main gate or the Velachery gate in time or if your department is Engineering design or Naval Architecture and you don't have a cycle. These are known for their exceptionally high speed.
  • Bicycles: This is the most preferred means of transport inside the campus and is considered a blessing when you look at the long waiting lines for buses. The problem arises when it's time to repair these bicycles but is the IITians we are talking about here, who have a solution to every problem. Some enthusiastic students launched an app called CAVAL. Under this app, one needs to register on the app or the website and input their location or the location where their cycle is and a mechanic will come and he will repair their cycle.
  • Olas and Cabs: These are rarely seen inside the campus and are very expensive.

The most preferred means of transport for someone not owning a bicycle is the bus.
