IIIT Bangalore iMtech in CSE or NIT Surathkal BTech in CSE, what should I choose?

AB
Akriti Banerjee Posted On : September 14th, 2023
lives in New Delhi

NIT Surathkal B.Tech in CSE is definitely a better choice because it's one of the oldest institutes with a rich legacy. The department has lots of establishments in academics as well as industry. There are several well-established student activity bodies and an elaborate alumni base with a coding background.

I am strongly against you joining an integrated program at the bachelor's level because you first need to know the exact domain you are interested in. If you realize that you have taken the wrong branch then spending 5 years will become very difficult. BTech gives you enough time and opportunities to analyze what your interests are you can not decide, after 3-4 semesters, you will be able to judge yourself overall. Also, a B.Tech in CSE from NIT Karnataka with a good GRE score may help you get admission offers of MS abroad.

So go for NIT Surathkal BTech in CSE without any second thoughts.

What department in MNNIT Allahabad has the best faculty?

RB
Ramesh Banerjee Posted On : April 29th, 2021
Studied at Motilal Nehru National Institute of Technology, Allahabad (2019)

Mechanical Engineering Department in MNNIT has the best faculties. However, the following are the reasons for this consideration.

  • Professors of this department are mostly highly qualified. However, a majority of them have done Ph.D., on the contrary of CSED.
  • Besides, the professors from the Mechanical Department of MNNIT are also well-experienced.
  • Most of them have a research profile, which influences the student’s mind towards the research-based work and study. They are also very helpful; if you want to pursue a research-oriented study, they welcome it from the heart.

Moreover, the most dissatisfactory thing about this department is the lack of cheering the students. My friend told me that he never saw anyone from his batch work on a research-based project or doing any further research-related studies.

If a person gets KT in first year engineering, is it shown on final marksheet of Mumbai University?

AV
Anuja Verma Posted On : August 4th, 2023
Studied at University of Mumbai

No, the final mark sheet of Mumbai University does not mention your KT. You will receive a new mark list after clearing the whole semester's examination. Try to score more than 55% in your engineering, and don’t worry about the KT. When it comes to placement, there are companies that do not focus on your points; rather, they need candidates with aspirations for success and determination.

There are no such sites available where you will get solved question papers from Mumbai University. However, there are some series solutions available for some courses. But the answers provided in these solution papers aren’t that good. So, students usually don’t refer to these solution papers. Easy Solution, and KT2 80 are some of such solution papers.

Is IMS Noida good for a BBA program?

SS
Santosh Singh Posted On : March 15th, 2023
Studied at IMS Noida
IMS Noida may not be the ideal choice for pursuing a BBA program, as it is affiliated with CCS University, Meerut whose degree is not highly valued in the market. Additionally, the faculty at IMS Noida is not up to the mark as many of them are not even NET-qualified, and the student crowd is not competitive enough.

Since your investment in terms of money, time, and effort is significant, it would be advisable to consider alternatives like IP University or Delhi University for pursuing a BBA program. Alternatively, if you come from a commerce background and wish to pursue a career in management, B.Com (Hons) is also a good option to consider.

IMS Noida has a placement record of around 50% for its BBA program, with companies like Wipro and Air India being the major recruiters. However, the roles offered are generally limited to Managers, HR, Sales Executives, and so on.

Which is better, Galgotia College or ABES Engineering College

DK
Divya Khosla Posted On : May 11th, 2021
Studied at ABES Engineering College, Ghaziabad

Galgotias College of Engineering and Technology is obviously better than ABES Engineering College. It should not be confused with the Galgotias University as it is different from this college.

Galgotias College edges past ABES Engineering College in almost every aspect; quality of infrastructure, teaching methodology and faculty, and most importantly placements.

  • Looking at the placement record for 2019-20, Galgotias College of Engineering and Technology had the highest CTC and average CTC of INR 11,18,669 per annum and INR 3,86,000 per annum respectively
  • ABES Engineering College had the highest CTC of INR 10 LPA.
  • They both are close in case of the locality as well; ABES Engineering College is in Ghaziabad while Galgotias College of Engineering and Technology is in Greater Noida.
  • Both have equally competent faculty, placements, and facilities

So, as we can see there is not much of a difference, in reality, to sway in favor of one over the other. Any college you choose will be equally good for you. More important is your performance in the college to land a top job otherwise no college can give you anything readymade.

What are the negative points of UIET, Chandigarh?

HD
Harsita Dey Posted On : May 17th, 2021
BE from University Institute of Engineering and Technology, Panjab University (2019)

I know a few people from UIET Chandigarh. Here are some of the things that they find bothersome.

  • Practicals and experiments in labs are limited to the course syllabus and even in some cases the methods and equipment to perform the given set of instructions to get the desired result are outdated as compared to the latest technology.
  • Lack of proficient faculty/teachers, who can make the particular subjects more exciting. Existing teachers can not even be enabled to build one’s interest in an already interesting subject like Artificial intelligence.
  • There is a lack of proper conversations and interaction among the students to coordinate and help each other in study and in other tasks as well.

In all above negative points, there is something positive which came forward is that you get a lot of free time to prepare for any competitive exams there as students of this college require only 75% of total attendance and if you are having less than it, the party people and students union compel authorities to make you sit for the exams.
