How is Alliance University in respect of placement and what is the average placement here? I have an interview for Alliance University.

A
Admin Posted On : May 2nd, 2022

You’re not specific for which program you’re asking from the placements in the alliance. But I’ll provide you with a few insights that Alliance University is the best in business school as far as I know. Because my sister has studied there and her experience was outstanding. The best thing is that they focus on their students so much and the faculties are concerned and encouraging there.

Placements are insanely crazy in alliance, the official site for the school reports says that the highest package will be 21.6 lakh per annum and the average package is 7.6 lakh per annum which is way too good. In 2022, there were 100% placements of MBA students at Alliance University with the top companies of all time, are CISCO, Amazon, Bicon, American Express, PWC, Wipro, Tata, Allegis Group, Oracle, Accenture, ANZ, Capgemini, Cognizant, Deloitte and many more.

Alliance University provides best faculty with the best infrastructure for their students so personality development should happen through interactive classroom sessions, company visits, field visits, group discussions, etc. Alliance mainly emphasizes the overall growth of a student rather than growth in their particular field only.

Alliance offers 5 specializations in the MBA program, named:

  • Marketing
  • Finance
  • HRM
  • OM
  • International Business

Apart from studies, Alliance provides many co-curricular activities like they have clubs and committees in which students can participate and enhance their networking. It also conducts many conferences national/international, which can be very useful for a student to get to know many people.

What are the top consults that visit IIM Lucknow? What are the numbers of hires per top consulting firm at IIM Lucknow?

SP
Saheli Palit Posted On : February 22nd, 2021
Ph.D in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Indian Institute of Management Lucknow (Expected 2022)

Instead of going with the conventional approach, let us approach this question differently. This will still be accurate and provide the correct assumptions and statistics as the question demands.

There are 20 IIMs in total and even if all of these institutions have been selecting students for their upcoming batch, the status quo is not more than one-third of the students of a batch of any IIM including IIM Ahmedabad and IIM Bangalore. This is because of factors such as a student’s attitude, previous work experience, and not because of any supply-demand constraints. It is also to be noted that none of the IIMs selects a candidate below 96%ile in CAT.

Out of the total students in a batch at IIM Lucknow, around 150 are fit for consulting roles. Similarly, 100 may be perfect for sales roles and not marketing or any finance roles. Now as we know that 150 students are available for consulting companies, all of these 150 students are made offers by consulting companies visiting the campus and none of the offers gets rejected.

If the richer Investment Banking companies visit the campus, the students will get divided by their preferences as to where to go. But, it was only in the 1990s when Nomura visited the campus of IIM Lucknow making an offer for its global business.

The list of consulting companies visiting IIM Lucknow is as follows: Bain, ATK, BCG, Accenture, McKinsey, Cognizant, HCL, KPMG, E&Y, etc.

How is the overall life, teaching, and placements at IGIT, Sarang? What are the other events that take place there other than studying?

AA
Aakriti Ahuja Posted On : November 29th, 2022
M.tech in Electronics and Communication Engineering & Image Processing, Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur (IIT KGP)

Companies such as TCS, Jindal, Apmosys, and TechM are regular visitors to IGIT, but placements at other renowned colleges are undeniably superior.

Teaching is somewhat good, but it depends on the field you choose because different students have different perspectives on their trade. Metallurgy and Electrical had produced some outstanding students. Many of the faculty members have sufficient knowledge to clear your doubts.

The most important aspect of life at IGIT is that it is a completely new world. Anyone who is unfamiliar with the system may feel anxious at first, but as time passes, you will acknowledge that it is a life-changing four-year journey.

Aside from academics, the college offers sports, photography, literary activities, cultural activities, and so on. Overall, it's a good place to study; the hostel facilities are excellent, and the environment is calm, warm, and welcoming.

How are the placements for civil branch students at PES University in core companies?

BS
Barkha Sen Posted On : October 17th, 2020
B.Tech Computer Science, PES University (2020)

PES University was ranked as the 6th best private university out of 50 universities in India by outlook in 2019. The college is recognized by UGC, AICTE, and AACSB. It is one of the top private universities in Bangalore.

As compared to the previous years, the placements offered at PES University in core companies are fewer in number for the academic year 2019. There were a number of companies that recruited students. But in recent years the placement of the college for the Civil Engineering course has not been up the mark as promised by the college.

Placement Statistics

  • In the year 2019, only one core company came to the university for recruiting Civil Engineering students.

  • However, the college managed to give around 85% of placements with the highest salary which was offered was Rs 48 LPA and the lowest salary which was offered was Rs 4 LPA.

  • The top recruiters that came to college included Deloitte, Amazon, JP Morgan, LinkedIn, Flipkart, Tech Mahindra, Mercedes Benz, Cleartrip, Intel, etc.

Although the core placement is not that impressive for Civil Engineering at PES University, students get decent placement offers from non-core sectors. There are many software companies visiting the campus that recruit Civil Engineering students. The placement packages offered by the non-core companies like IT are generally higher than the average CTC offered by the core companies. The average CTC offered by the IT/Software companies is 10 LPA. Many students also choose to opt for higher education instead of taking any placement offers.

How are the placements for a dual degree student different from a B.Tech student in IIT Bhubaneswar ?

VS
Vineeta Sinha Posted On : August 14th, 2020
B.Tech Computer Science Indian Institute of Technology Varanasi (2020)

In IIT Bhubaneswar the placement rate of a dual degree program is comparatively lower than that of a B.Tech course. While some companies do not discriminate between the two degrees but there are also some companies that give preference to B.Tech students and offer them a better salary package.

A Dual degree takes 5 years for a student to complete and students who opt for dual degree programs mostly want to pursue research in the field or want to have an academic career rather than working in MNCs. Dual degree programs are more research-oriented and will provide you with further knowledge about the subject.
