How do candidates from some other states get into Anna University with CSE?

MJ
Muskan Jaiswal Posted On : December 28th, 2022
B.Tech in Chemical Engineering & Physics, Anna University, Tamil Nadu, India (Graduated 2014)

They are welcome to apply, but students must go through a different admissions process. Openings can be found in the newspaper or on the Anna University website. Admission notices are available in March/April each year. The admission form is available on the official website, and you can apply through it. Alternatively, you can go to Anna University and purchase an admission form (for non-Tamilnadu State students) and fill it out.

Other State student counseling occurs immediately following the completion of TN student counseling. Admission is only available for the university department (GET, AC Tech, MIT, SAP). The seats are limited, and they anticipate a high cutoff. Counseling is not required for affiliated colleges. Students may be admitted through the management quota.

How good is doing a certificate in Talent Management from Talentedge XLRI?

PD
Pratim Dasgupta Posted On : May 31st, 2021
PGDM HRM, Xavier School of Management

The faculty is world-class and you will get to learn a lot. The program works in partnership with SHRM so that you can also communicate directly with industry experts.

The program offers detailed modules on career and succession planning coaching and mentoring, etc. There will be many practical assignments involving various aspects of talent management in everyday life.

I have a friend who did this program and benefited from it. The addition of the XLRI name in your CV is definitely one of the advantages of this program. As helpful as this program is, it may not matter much in terms of your promotion or next job switch.

A
Admin Posted On : July 6th, 2024

If you have a choice between BITS Hyderabad, IIT Hyderabad, and IIT Bhubaneswar for a CSE, then I would suggest going for IIT Bhubaneswar for a CSE.

  • IIT Bhubaneswar CSE branch is one of the best in the institution.
  • With a well-structured curriculum, I experienced faculties and research options.
  • The average course fee for four years of BTech at IIT Bhubaneswar is around INR 10 Lakhs.
  • The placement for the CS department is excellent at IIT Bhubaneswar for 2023.

Find the details in the given table:

How did Mr. Abhinandan become one of the best coders from Allahabad? What is he like in real life?

Satyam Purwar Posted On : November 28th, 2023

Here is some information about Abhinandan, one of the best coders from our college. I was told all this by one of his friends.

Abhinandan Agarwal did not become the best over time, rather he was born like that. He was a child prodigy and wrote his first code at merely eight years of age in the language Brainfuck. He wrote it to multiply two numbers. At the time, his homework contained multiplication questions. He had to multiply large numbers, and thought it was too mainstream to complete this task manually.

He is a down to earth, humble and modest individual. He is a helpful and loyal friend. His mannerisms and behavior makes him very likable, just like a guy next door. He has good management skills, and is a very hardworking and dedicated person.

I hope he achieves a lot more in his career, and brings honor to MNNIT Allahabad.

How good is PGPBM course (provided by IIM Trichy) at Chennai Center?

AJ
Azhar Jafri Posted On : January 12th, 2023
studied PGDM Marketing at Indian Institute of Management, Tiruchirappalli, Tamil Nadu, India (2017)

The worth of a certain program depends on what you want to achieve after completing it. In case you want to just ameliorate your knowledge and skills, this course is indeed the finest option. But if you are pursuing it to receive a high-paying package, then your approach is wrong. Yes, it will open doors for better job prospects but you cannot directly grab a high-paying job right off the bat.

Some major highlights of this course are as follows

  • The faculty is highly knowledgeable and usually comprises doctorates from top B Schools within India and even globally.
  • The course is rigorous as each subject is taught for 25 hours and requires preparation for 20-25 hours.
  • The pedagogy is premium and involves a blend of case studies, theories encompassing fundamental frameworks, and the latest trends.
  • A regular evaluation ensures complete involvement of the individual
  • You will get the chance to study with a mixed crowd comprising marketing professionals, chartered accountants, plant heads, and entrepreneurs.
  • The crowd diversity in turn enables top-notch peer learning and exposure through experience sharing.
  • Once you complete this program, you will excel in your current job or the interview for your next job.
  • Since the program is approved by banks, you can easily get 100% educational loans.
  • In accordance with the latest IIM Law, you will be granted an MBA Degree and not just a PGDBM Certificate.

Before I end my answer I will ask you to keep 2 points in mind. Firstly, this program is extremely demanding and you should not take it just as a side hustle. It needs complete involvement and determination on your part.

Secondly, no placement opportunities are offered upon completion of this program so you shouldn’t rely on the placement committee.

How is food at NIT Agartala?

RT
Raktim Tarafdar Posted On : September 18th, 2023

NIT Agartala has a variety of food options less for vegetarians and more for non-vegetarians.

  • The mess food like any other college isn’t good at all and you will have to tolerate it somehow. Usually, paratha or Puri made with some watery chana or daal is served for breakfast, rice is served for lunch, and for dinner, you have options of both Chapati and Rice. For lunch and dinner, there will be two curries. You will have paneer, egg, fish, and chicken as well. Occasionally they serve salad and sweets as well.
  • There is a separate South Indian mess for South Indians that serves the best food in terms of taste, price, and hygiene. The menu contains items like Idli, dosa, uttapam, bonda, vada, poori, parotta, biryani, fried rice, pulao, and occasionally dishes like pulihora, upma, bajji, curd rice, etc.
  • Eateries like College Point and Spicy Hut serve very good food at subsidized rates. Here, you can eat tandoori roti, tawa roti, rice, biryani, and a wide variety of curries in both veg and nonveg categories. Other famous eateries include Gagan, Dipankar da, Amul Shop, and Babul da.
  • Located in close proximity to the admin blocks the Foodies, serves only veg food. This place charges a bit higher than others and is open only during the day.
  • NIT Agartala has many other small canteens where you can have a full meal at low prices.

So, there are many food options here catering to all kinds of taste buds!

How is IIT Bhubaneswar mechanical as compared to other new IITs opened in 2008 and IIT Dhanbad?

AJ
Arunabha Jha Posted On : April 22nd, 2021
B.Tech + M.Tech from Indian Institute of Information Technology, Allahabad (2020)

IIT Bhubaneswar is a new IIT and was established in the year 2008. On the other hand, IIT Dhanbad is an old IIT. Being an old IIT, the academic curriculum and academic flexibility are more functional at IIT Dhanbad than any other new IIT.

Many of my friends have passed out from IIT Dhanbad who were highly satisfied with their placement considering their JEE advance ranks. In the placement drive 2020, the highest package offered to the mechanical branch at IIT Dhanbad was INR 17 lakhs per annum.

Changing your branch is comparatively easier at IIT Dhanbad. So, even if you are compromising on your branch of choice, you can get it altered to your choice once you join in.

To conclude, I would suggest you go for IIT Dhanbad.

Why are IIMs preferred over DU affiliated institutes like FMS or DFS?

SG
Suman Ghose Posted On : June 23rd, 2021
Studied at Faculty of Management Studies, University of Delhi (2018)

FMS is at par with IIM A/ B/ C, and DFS is at par with new IIMs. They are famous for their return on investment (ROI). DFS is next to FMS in terms of ROI. Most of the time, students can cover their fees from the stipend of their SIP. Even though most students are not aware of FMS and DFS. Here are some of the reasons why you should consider these institutes.

Although most choose IIMs due to their brand value, there are also many who choose FMS over IIMs, including ABC for their brand value and ROI.

For Finance specialization, DFS is at par with the new IIMs. DFS is affiliated with CFA and is one of the best institutes for finance. Its course structure develops an overall financial brain within the students.

Fee Comparison:

Institute

Fee

FMS

INR 1.92 Lakhs

DFS

INR 26000

IIM A

INR 23 Lakhs

IIM B

INR 23 Lakhs

IIM C

INR 23 Lakhs

The fees for FMS and DFS are 100 times less than what students pay for top IIMs. Therefore, many prefer these institutes to avoid repaying hefty educational loans. It makes MBA a risk-free course.

Batch Size:

The batch size of IIMs is much bigger than the batch size of FMS/DFS. So, an above-median CTC in IIMs requires one to be ahead of 200 students. In FMS you need to be ahead of 100 and in DFS you need to be ahead of 25.

Location:

The location of these institutes is in the heart of Delhi. So, you will have availability of better coaching centers, if you want to prepare for competitive examinations.

Most of the students seek for IIMs being unaware about these institutes, and others join IIMs for the sake of “IIM tag”.

How good is IIM Jammu when compared to other non IIM B-schools?

RA
Rahul Anand Posted On : February 13th, 2024
MBA from Indian Institute of Management Calcutta

There are plenty of non-IIM business schools. The new IIMs are a better choice than most of them, simply because of the ‘IIM’ tag. ISB, JBIMS, XLRI, FMS, S.P.Jain and MDI are some of the handful of top business schools that are non IIMs. They stand above new IIMs.

As for the baby IIMs like IIM Jammu, consider them only if you can't get into a more renowned business school. These are very newly built IIMs. But by joining them, you can become a part of their progress journey. This is a great learning experience in itself. Plus, the baby IIMs are also mentored by the old and highly reputed IIMs.

If you feel that you have a very rich profile or your CAT scores can improve, sit for CAT again the following year.

How tough is the iMtech(Btech+Mtech) course at IIIT Bangalore?

TD
Tezal Dahiya Posted On : October 9th, 2023

The iMTech course at IIIT Bangalore is quite challenging and rigorous. The students are evaluated weekly through tests and assignments. They hardly get any free time. However, students joining this course are aware of the right and still are committed to hard work.

A friend who joined the recent batch shared her experience. The first quiz took place just 12 days from the orientation after which quizzes were scheduled for every week. She had to go through strict deadlines for completion of 50% of Python and C in just 2 weeks.

The college has a very rigorous academic ambiance helping students to become punctual and learn time management. Some energetic souls despite their busy schedules, spare time for sports, competitions, hackathons, fests, and other fun activities.

So eventually you choose the quality of life at IIIT Bangalore!
