Is ITM Navi Mumbai worth applying?

AG
Akriti Gupta Posted On : July 12th, 2023
lives in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India

ITM Navi Mumbai is the best choice if you are seeking sales profiles but not for core finance and HR operations. Moreover, the batch size is huge and the fees are extremely high. Remember you will not just be getting a degree but will be investing in your lifetime career. Here are a few things you should consider before applying to determine if it's worth it or not,

  • Determine the kind of profile that suits you the most; HR, Sales, Financial product sales, IT sales, IB sales, Core finance, etc
  • Make sure your graduation % aligns with the requirements of the MNC offering job
  • 100% placements can be misleading because of “bulk hire & fire “ profiles.
  • Determine the average in hand or take-home salary of your dream profile and check its stability from LinkedIn alumni.
  • Don't run after the brand name because a company that provides excellent goods and services does not necessarily have a good working environment.
  • Some IT giants may offer poor profiles that lack stability where you are not hired under direct company payroll. Beware of such offers.

It's best to contact the old alumni to get hold of the real scenario and only then invest money here.

What do I need to know about Amity University Lucknow?

PS
Priyanka Sahu Posted On : December 23rd, 2021
Ph.D Information Technology, Amity University, Lucknow (2021)

Amity University Lucknow functions from an off campus of Noida Campus, every operation is controlled from there.

  • They have a beautiful and well-maintained infrastructure.
  • The class timings are longer than usual.
  • They, unlike other universities, do not guarantee placement, most of the MBA graduates have applied for off-campus placements.
  • The fests are not up to the mark like the Noida campus.
  • Students should have a 75% attendance or you will not be allowed to sit for the exams.
  • Hostels do not offer AC rooms.
  • The mess charges have increased a lot, students have to pay INR 3000 per month. This is a lot because the quality of the food is also bad.
  • The hostel provides wifi, which is a real necessity.

If you want to study in Amity it is suggested that you think before taking this step. If you think you can get a proper job offer off-campus then you can opt to study here. As they do not give much priority to on-campus placements.

The two basic Electrical Engineering books will be useful in all 4 years of your study. These books are great for solving doubts.

Which college is better, CMC Ludhiana or KMC Manipal?

BG
Bidita Ghose Posted On : September 25th, 2023
Lives in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India

Both CMC Ludhiana and KMC Manipal are prestigious institutes well-known for their excellence in the medical field. However, you might want to consider the following points of differences while choosing one of these colleges

  • Academics: CMC Ludhiana fares better in terms of quality of academics as it has a highly dedicated staff and the facilities are also top notch. KMC Manipal too is quite decent academically.
  • Infrastructure: KMC Manipal has better infrastructure than CMC Ludhiana as it has well-maintained buildings and a lush green campus while CMC Ludhiana is situated amidst the hustle and bustle of the city.
  • Location: This is a personal factor especially if you prefer staying close to home or not.
  • Fees: CMC Ludhiana's first-year fees are around INR 6.6 Lakhs while KMC Manipal MBBS Fees for the first year are INR 17.8 Lakhs which is almost double that of CMC Ludhiana.
  • Patient load: CMC has a good patient flow with more indoor and outdoor patients.

Overall, I feel both the colleges are unique in their own way and you won't regret joining either of these colleges.

Is branch change easy if I want CSE at NIT Rourkela?

DJ
Dinesh Johri Posted On : August 17th, 2023
Studying B.Tech from National Institutes of Technology (2024)

NIT Rourkela started branch change facility from academic year 2017-2018. For a branch change, your first year CGPA and seat availability in the desired course will be considered. However, to answer you precisely, it is not easy to get a branch change, that too into CSE. Top scorers at NIT Rourkela are able to achieve this feat.

The main obstacle is that students acquire a laid back attitude after getting an admission into an NIT or IIT. Even if you work 1/10th as hard as you did during your JEE preparation, you will get a good CGPA and your chances for a branch change will be high. For this, you will have to work hard instead of blaming the faculty, syllabus or hectic schedule.

It is quite difficult to upgrade to CSE at NIT Rourkela. However, if you work really hard and get lucky enough that the department has vacant seats, you might get into CSE after your first year.

How can I secure a rank under 1000 in UPSEE so that I can get IET Lucknow?

ST
Shashank Trivedi Posted On : August 4th, 2021
Studied at IET Lucknow (2019)

It should be remembered that there is no substitute for hard work. Gaining admission into state engineering colleges through UPSEE entrance exams has its advantages which makes it easier to perform well in them.

  • Most of the questions in the UPSEE entrance exams would be easier to solve for you because they are of the level of classes 11 and 12.
  • They are not tricky and very easy to answer.
  • There is no negative marking. Even if you are not sure if you answered the question correctly, you will not end up losing marks.
  • The question papers may be lengthy, though.
  • You can prepare yourself for the exams by arranging MCQs of the previous years and practicing them within a certain time limit.
  • As far as the admission to IET Lucknow goes, you can get it at a rank of lower than 1000 after the subsequent sessions of counseling.

The UPSEE entrance exams contain 150 questions and there is a time limit of 3 hours. You must be in touch with your calculations and concept implementation and are accurate in both. A score of 440 or more will give you good chance of getting admitted.

How many students Drop out or fail in IIM Lucknow?

TR
Taaruk Raina Posted On : January 16th, 2023
Studied at Indian Institute of Management Lucknow

The percentage of students who drop out or fail at IIM Lucknow differs significantly by batch.

There have been batches where only a few students dropped out and pursued another interest. At the same time, 10-15 students drop out of each batch because they have goals other than an MBA.

It is a personal factor that over time has an overall impact on the number of students discontinuing class. It says nothing about the institute and says nothing about the batch either. Failure is a matter of one's commitment to learning and education, and the number of students also depends on each student, so taken as a whole, it says nothing negative about the institution. In other words, failing or dropping out depends entirely on the individual and has nothing to do with the institution.

DM
Dibakar Mishra Posted On : November 30th, 2021
MBBS from All Indian Institute of Medical Sciences, Raebareli

The hostel facilities at AIIMS are quite good. The rooms are complete with an outward-facing personal balcony. They provide all required furniture, i.e. a wooden cot with a big sliding drawer underneath, a study table, a three-drawer mini self, and a low side table. There are shelves for your books and an elaborate cupboard for all your belongings too.

Is MSU Baroda good for a BBA, or should I go for other options?

SB
Sumit Baraiya Posted On : December 29th, 2022
Studied Electrical Engineering at The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda

Your decision actually depends on the fact if you want to pursue BBA or you want to study at MSU. This is because if your sole interest is in BBA then trust me there are many better colleges for it. But if you are adamant about studying at MSU, then it’s better you search for your own interests.

I will recommend you take the aptitude test which is free in the psychology department. This test will let you decide what to study. Don’t be a part of the herd and pursue what others are pursuing. Rather follow your own interest that you will not regret later.

What should I choose for M.Tech in Bio tech, IIT Mandi or NIT Bhopal?

SG
Soutrik Gupta Posted On : May 26th, 2023
IIT Mandi

I feel you are torn between the IIT and NIT tags here. In that case, new IITs are a better option unless you are considering top NITs like Warangal, Surathkal, or Calicut.

But it seems you have 2 generation NITs in your list only. In that case, IIT Mandi is a preferable choice.

  • IIT Mandi has a better learning environment and competition
  • IIT Mandi has one of the most beautiful campuses and it’s location is also a boon.
  • The new IITs have young professors who are dynamic and friendly.

Either program will offer a plethora of opportunities, and choosing one over the other will be merely because of personal preferences.
