How is the placement for electrical & electronics engineering at NIT Delhi?

AB

Nowadays, PSUs have started considering GATE ranks, internal exams, and interviews, so the chances of getting placed in the core sector through campus placements are very meager. Only a handful of core companies such as Tata Power, L&T, GE Healthcare, etc. come for recruitment.

If you are planning to get into the Power Sector, you will have to prepare for the competitive exams. But if your goal is to just get placed even if it’s an IT company, then as long as you have a decent GPA and basic coding skills, you are likely to grab a good offer. That being said, one must consider bigger criteria when choosing college rather than just placements. In 2021 NIT Delhi EEE average package was recorded at INR 8.1 LPA.

So, you don’t have to worry about placements at all as long as you are committed to hard work

What is the placement procedure in NICMAR? Suggest some tips to crack it easily.

TA

The placements process usually starts when you’re in your final year; companies start visiting the campus from August end, and the first step is your Resume shortlisting. Many students struggle with this because they don’t know what the company is looking for. So It’s vital that you customize your resume and mention critical points according to the company for which you’re applying. Attend the Pre-Placement talk for each company diligently and talk to seniors that are already working there or who have done their internship in that participating company.

Although now all the placement committees try and make the companies not consider academic scores, it still helps if your grades lie in the top 50 %tile of your batch. Lastly, it cannot be emphasised enough that you research well about the company before interviewing. Take all the facts and current happenings about the company with you.

What things should I keep in mind to get campus placement from MANIT Bhopal?

SB
Surendra Bose Posted On : November 11th, 2023
Studied at Maulana Azad National Institute of Technology, Bhopal

As a former student at MANIT Bhopal, here are my tips to prepare you for campus placements-

  • Do not be overconfident- It never helps to be overconfident about yourself. It is wrong to believe that you’ll secure a job simply by the virtue of your communication skills, or by watching some online videos on interview preparation. Instead, overconfidence will work against you.
  • Prepare well- You’ll know the sequence in which companies visit the campus. So practice guesstimates, case-studies, or whatever is required to get selected in a particular company. If speaking is not your forte, practice well.
  • Be patient- Don’t feel jealous of your friends if they are placed before you. Keep working hard, and you’ll be placed sooner or later.

Take your placement drive seriously. Once you are out of college, life will get tougher, and you’ll have to compete against people from various backgrounds/institutions.

What are the characteristics of NITIE students, who get the highest and lowest salary packages during placements?

SB
Shikha Batra Posted On : August 18th, 2021
MBA in General Management & Post Graduation in Supply Chain and Operations Management, National Institute of Industrial Engineering (2018)

It all depends on your personality, skills, and grades. My sister was an average student of NITIE but she secured a great package because of her personality and skills.

There is no guarantee that you will get the highest package. But, you can increase your chances by doing below few things mentioned below:

  • Prepare an honest and attractive Resume
  • Invest a good amount of time and enter accurate details.
  • Be updated with current happenings in the country, read the newspaper.
  • Get acquainted with management terminologies, and the basics of your desired specialization as these are some of the basic questions asked at the interview.
  • Study the company you are interviewing for, profiles offered by them, and expectations of regular visiting companies on the campus.
  • Practice Group discussion and Mock interviews
  • Prepare explanations and technical justification of every point mentioned in your Resume.
  • Attend pre-placement talk of the companies you are applying for and make notes

Hope this helps. All the best.
