One of my friends studied at Guru Nanak Dev University (GNDU) Amritsar. According to him, the environment is really good, green and clean.
Other departments like Chemistry, Law, Political Science, Food and Technology, Architecture are really good. There is no union of students like a political body makes it a bit better. Very few cultural programs take place here. The library is the most peaceful part of the campus and is accessible to all the students anytime.
There are many things that you can do to keep yourself engaged during weekends at Mitgibai College. Many cultural events are conducted throughout the year. If you take part in these activities, the practice sessions will keep you busy. Also, there are many extra-curricular and sports activities on campus. In which you can take part.
Other than cultural activities the college also conducts other activities. If interested, you can take part in these activities. There are also tracking activities during weekends. If you are a foodie, you can explore the many good eateries situated around the campus.
One of my friends studied at AIIMS Jodhpur. According to her it has been a really good journey from her 1st year to the internship.
Overall, MBBS here is really great. The city of Jodhpur might not be comparable to New Delhi but it has an essence of its own which is quite unique.
As one of my friends who studied at RGPV, I might be able to answer your question. Let me share his experience during his first year. This will give you a clear idea.
It is recommended to work hard, study harder, as these four years will shape your career. If you want to get into the IT industry, then start with data structures & algorithms. If you want to do an MBA, get started with CAT preparations. If you want to do MS from a foreign University, get started with GRE. Also do enjoy your college life, as it will shape you as an individual.
There are a few interesting options to explore at the weekends in Vadodara. If you stay in MSU hostel and do not have any vehicle to commute then you can check on the following things:
If commuting is not an issue then you can explore some outskirts of Vadodara like - Sindhrot, Zarwani waterfall in Shoolpaneshwar, Jambughoda wildlife sanctuary, S-cube waterpark, Hathni waterfall (in monsoons), Kabirvad and Champaner.
If you are fond of historical sites and spiritual places then you can visit - The Lakshmi Vilas Palace, The Nazarbaug Palace, Qutbuddin Tomb, Tambekar Wada, Makarpura palace, Kirti Mandir and many more.
One of my friends recently graduated from Utkal University. According to him, here are some things you can do.
Always remember that every person you meet in your college has something to offer intellectually. Your education will give you skills that will help you make a positive mark.

Overall the college is really good and appreciated by the students. The infrastructure is gorgeous, much better than some of the IITs and NITs. Lately it has been deteriorating with time due to the lack of maintenance, care, supervision and funds. A lot of the college students are into student politics which sometimes affect their academic performance.
Ambedkar University Delhi (AUD) is considered to be one of the liberal universities in the country. The courses offered are engaging and the faculty members give you full support in learning and preparing for them.
At AUD imparting knowledge among the students towards social science is really unique and different. It is totally a different university with lots of opportunities to learn and grow as a student and a human being.
It has multiple campuses, most of them having good infrastructure and facilities. The best part of the university is the faculty members. Most of them are very understanding and are very helpful.
Considering academics, the university has given the choice on the course instructors to choose the evaluation methodology. Hence, the creative faculty members end up creating something dynamic which is going to help you learn and grow holistically.
Students graduating from AUD are more analytical, a bit critical, have better writing and presentation skills and improved interpersonal skills. The best part is the liberal atmosphere.
I have a friend who is pursuing her MBA from Ranchi University. She is not happy with the facilities offered at the institute. This university doesn't provide modern facilities and students don't get much exposure while studying in this university.
The faculty of this college is not good. Often the syllabus remains unfinished. The management and the staff of this university are not cooperative. In this university, the results of a semester are sometimes declared so late that the classes of the next semester have already begun.
The placement scenario of this university is also very poor as very few companies visit the campus for interviews and recruit only a few students whereas most of the students remain unplaced and have to look for job opportunities off-campus. In the recent placement drive, the highest CTC offered was 3 LPA.
It is recommended that you do not opt for GBPEC Pauri. Here are some reasons why:
You can rather go for DIT or GEU Dehradun which will provide a comparatively better environment and facilities.
