IGIMS Patna was established on November 19, 1983, as an autonomous organization on the pattern of All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi. The objective was to provide super specialty medical facilities in Bihar. Admission to M.B.B.S. program at IGIMS, Patna (Indira Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences, Patna) is based on NEET cut off. Applicants must qualify NEET to be eligible for M.B.B.S. program at IGIMS, Patna. Candidates who will successfully qualify NEET can participate in NEET Counselling.
