First, the argument brings to our notice that developers should pay for services rather than boosting residents' taxes. But he fails to assess whether these services are necessary and crucial for the city. The passage does not also say whether the developers would have any motivation to pay for these services. The argument further does not mention what kinds of services the city has or needs. What exactly would motivate a developer to fund an improved educational system. For instance, if the developer’s main goal is to construct real estate and the city needs better educational services? Then, it would be a waste of resources. Another appropriate illustration would be if the city requested and required broader roadways. However, in order to do so, it would be necessary to remove the trees along the roads. In that situation, is that a service that is acceptable, is it appropriate to harm the environment?

The author should always make it clear that the services that the city plans to enhance or introduce. As well as whether the developer is ready to provide them, are done in order to support this assumption. We do not know if the developers can provide the same amount of money as the city would anticipate from its citizens. For instance, if the developer's value is in the hundreds of thousands but the revenue obtained from taxes is one million dollars. There is no clear correlation between them if the author stated that increased tourism costs are associated with new development projects. The author's assumption may be enhanced if he gave further information. The author should list the costs that new development projects would immediately affect, such as those for water, electricity, etc. Without specific illustrations and their effects, this premise is weak.

In conclusion, the argument is faulty due to the justification provided above. It might be improved if the author included pertinent important points.
