GMAT Online Registration
The registration process for GMAT online is exactly the same as registration for GMAT offline version. The candidates first and foremost need to create an account in mba.com. Candidates here are advised to go for online registration for GMAT online, even though it is possible to book a test via phone.
By providing the details like the first name, last name, mail ID, and password, it is possible to register for GMAT. On providing all the details correctly and successfully, the candidates will be given the option to select exam dates for GMAT. Here the candidates may see only the available test dates as well in case the chosen date is already filled. Next, the candidates will select the test-taking time, and alike the date, the candidates may get only the available time slots only. After giving all the details and receiving all the required information, the candidates will get an option to confirm. After clicking on it, they will be directed to the page to make the payment via credit or debit card.
GMAT Online Registration Time
Candidates are allowed to register for GMAT 24x7. Unlike the GMAT test center version, it is possible to register for GMAT online only 24 hours before the test.
GMAT Online Registration Fees
To take GMAT online, the candidates are charged US$ 200. There was an application fee for GMAT rescheduling and cancellation previously. However, the conducting authority of GMAT had decided on a fee waiver due to the current Covid-19 situation.
Within the GMAT online registration charges, the charges for GMAT score sending are included. Previously, the candidates are allowed to send 5 destinations for free. It also meant the charge of sending the score to these 5 destinations was included in the GMAT registration fees. To send the score to more than these 5 destinations, the candidates were charged US$ 28. Right now, GMAC had offered the facility of free score sending to an unlimited number of destinations, that too without any charge. After making the payment, an auto-generated receipt will be mailed to the inserted mail ID of the candidate. On the test day, this document may be required for verification purposes.
Online GMAT is a proctored exam and the candidates will take this version from their comfort zones. As the GMAT online is equally accepted as the GMAT test-center version, GMAC has announced the system requirements, failing which the exam can be canceled too. So, the candidates need to go through the details of GMAT online before taking it.
At present, the test centers are reopening and they have the option to take the exam in the centers if they want. In case you are confused between GMAT online or GMAT test-center, we suggest you to analyze whether you can meet the technical specifications or not. GMAT online registration is easy and it is undoubtedly a great approach, but not all can meet its requirements. So, take a wise decision.
