Seen from this perspective, the argument fails to address many of the factors that drive newspaper sales. This conclusion was reached in the absence of conclusive evidence with respect to all factors that are responsible for its sales. The author concluded that new fitness equipment should be available to increase the physical fitness level of the residents of the new health society. He supports this finding by noting that newspaper sales of new fitness equipment with images of bodybuilders have increased. This decision is problematic for three main reasons.
First, the author is confused about the causes and consequences of the magazine's high sales. He could focus only on a few aspects and failed to mention the other important parameters. People are more likely to buy a magazine for its interesting print editorials than its photographs. Besides photographs, and case studies, expert views are also required. The Economist, for example, is one of the most popular and best-selling magazines for its quality content. Yes, a magazine might have some pretty photos, but most people buy it based on quality. That's why it's crazy to think that people buy magazines based on photos. It does not mean that photos are not important, but they do not contribute to total success. Had the author provided newspaper sales data from other newsstands, and subscriptions, the argument would have been stronger. Furthermore, increasing magazine sales is a worrisome issue in terms of satisfaction, it is impossible to determine the demand for new fitness equipment. In fact, there are exceptions. For example, people like to read and see pictures of exercisers and related articles in these magazines, but they don't like to learn about products.
Finally, although Muscle Monthly is considered the best-selling magazine, there is no data on what percentage of city residents use the new community. There is no comparative table that shows the sales of other similar kinds of magazines. If they talk about the number of people who use the local gym, the argument is stronger. It would have been better to argue with more supporting pieces of evidence and letters from other fitness experts. A final critical point is the vague and unclear picture of the city's population. The argument does not include information about residents' characteristics, such as gender, age, education or occupation. These are the most important factors in deciding the case. If all residents are middle-aged, physical therapy equipment will be of little benefit to them. In fact, not all of them learn to heal their bodies like these bodybuilders.

The author's chain of reasoning is unconvincing. To support this claim, the writer must provide evidence in the 3 different cases mentioned above. He must use persuasive evidence of a causal relationship between the newspaper and the sale of fitness equipment. In addition, the author helps to convince the readers by describing the different characteristics of the townspeople.
