What is your philosophy of leadership?

“Leading with strong basic fundamentals”

Philosophy of leadership is a value-based act of a leader to think and act when we come and are in power. I would describe my leadership style as leading by example, having critical thinking, effective communication, creativity, delegating tasks and taking the lead on projects. Also, I like to stay involved and inspire my team through measurable outcomes and ethical driven decisions.

What has been your vision for education being a teacher?

“Articulating what one wishes to attain”

My vision has always been to provide excellent educational opportunities that are responsive to the needs of our students and empower them to meet and exceed challenges as active participants in shaping the future of our world. Also, implementing cutting-edge technology that prepares students for life-long success. Accomplishing efforts towards the vision of the college is a continuous process with updating strategies in successful implementation.

How do you strategize the key plans for the administration and marketing of your College?

“Focusing on individual needs and addressing student concerns”

The key strategy for the administration of our college is departmental decentralization which is monitored by a centralized authority. Also, segmenting the faculties as aspiring academics, career starters, career accelerators, industry switchers, academic wanderers, through which understand what types of students our college is attracting. So that we can better target our marketing to address their concerns. In addition, showcasing successful alumni, student-faculty achievements, beautiful campus, student ambassadors, building social media directory can be done for better marketing.

What do you think your roles and responsibilities to the students are?

“Enhancing student experience on campus”

As a faculty, I should be expected to meet each student’s professional and institutional commitments on a regular basis throughout the academic year. These commitments include time spent on teaching, research, student advising, clinical activities and various kinds of Institute or outside professional service on committees beneficial for students. I take leads on behalf of students in administrative or advisory roles of the college and serve as a connection with its requirements and regulations, with which they will scrupulously comply.

What do you see as SHCP’s greatest strengths?

“Excellent learning resources and professional leadership”

Highly qualified and experienced faculty, well-developed infrastructure facilities and laboratories with ultramodern state of the art equipment for high-quality research are our strengths. We are accredited with NBA and NAAC, approved by UGC New Delhi, and have MoUs with Hospital and Industry for Research that ensures quality at the college level. Enriched Library with Reference books, Textbooks, National and International Journals, e-journals and Periodicals, along with in house publication – Journal of International Pharmaceutical Sciences (JIPS) is our key USPs. Also, SHCP encompasses an effective placement and training cell to coordinate with national reputed pharma companies. A distinct advantage of having a highly qualified and experienced Principal who is also a promoter member of the Global Vision Educational & Welfare Society, also a visionary, a guiding and motivating force behind the establishment and successfully running Seven Hills College of Pharmacy.

How does the curriculum of SHCP ensure the best practice of industry?

“Strategic learning and pedagogy methods”

The participation of industries in curriculum design and delivery at the institutional level is very much essential to prepare the students for employment. This will bridge the gap between the industry and institutions and will enable the students to become industry-ready. This will also reduce the time, effort and resources spent on the students at industries before they will take up the real projects. As a part of the curriculum, the college is organizing industry professional and student interaction programs, guest lectures, workshops. The students need to undergo one month of industrial training as well. The college is also providing industry placements to candidates for employment.

How do you think diversity is important in educational institutions?

“Creating better awareness and challenges”

Fostering inclusion and awareness around multicultural education and taking a culturally responsive approach to teaching benefit all students. Not only does creating greater multicultural awareness and inclusion help students with different backgrounds and needs succeed, but it encourages acceptance and helps prepare students to thrive in an exponentially diverse world. The positive effects of diversity enable students to work with people from other races, ethnicities and cultural backgrounds, and challenge the views they are accustomed to. This leads to greater awareness, understanding, and acceptance of differing beliefs and customs.
