New Delhi: Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU), Anantpur has begun the application process for the PhD programme for the academic session 2022-23. Aspiring candidates can submit the online application form through the official portal, @jntuh.ac.in, by September 30, 2022.

JNTU, Anantpur offers full-time Ph.D Programme 2022-23 under AICTE Doctoral Fellowship (ADF) for various specialisations including Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering. The applicants must ensure that they fulfil their eligibility for admission to the Ph.D under AICTE Doctoral Fellowship (ADF) Scheme in respect of qualifications and other requisite

criteria. 

JNTUA PhD Admission 2022: Eligibility Criteria

Candidates seeking admissions into the PhD programme will have to meet their eligibility criteria. 

  • Candidates must hold a masters degree in the relevant disciplines with minimum 55% marks (50% for SC/ST). 
  • MCA degree holders are not eligible for Computer Science & Engineering. 
  • Candidates should have qualified GATE/ NET during the last 5 years. 
  • The students serving as faculty under TEQIP scheme can also be given preference for admission in this programme.
  • The minimum percentage criterion for the Indian students’ qualified Bachelor/Master’s degree from Foreign Universities shall be waived off but students will have to qualify GATE exam during the last 5 years.
  • Candidates should be less than 30 years of age as on date of admission in respective University. However, age relaxation of 5 years would be applicable to candidates belonging to SC/ ST/Women/Physically challenged category. 
  • AICTE supported ADF fellowship is not admissible to left out students, who have already availed the ADF fellowship from AICTE, on his/her taking admission for the 2nd time in any other University/Institutes.

JNTUA PhD Admission 2022: Selection Process

  • Candidates's admission to the PhD programme will be based on the entrance test conducted by the university.
  • The entrance test will be for the duration of 1 hour (60 objective questions).
  • The merit list will be prepared on the basis of the marks of the entrance test.

JNTUA PhD Admission 2022: How to Apply?

Step 1: Visit the official application portal of JNTU @https://jntuh.ac.in/.

Step 2: Register yourself after filling the required details, such as Mobile number, Email Id etc.

Step 3: Now, login with your registration credentials and fill all details in the Application form.

Step 4: Pay the application fee and submit the Application form. 

Step 5: Applicants must also take a print out of the form for all future needs.

The filled-in application form along with Demand Draft and photocopies of certificates must be sent to the Director of Admissions, JNT University Anantapur, Ananthapuramu through Speed Post/Courier to reach on or before September 30, 2022.
