The class has been chosen not only for academic excellence and test scores, but also for exceptional extra curricular interests. We have a diverse, talented and enthusiastic class with strong communication skills. Through our unique curriculum, and personalized development plans, we will now help them realise their potential.

BITSoM to collaborate with London Business School for global faculty,  immersions, executive education and much more

Date: May 20, 2021

BITS School of Management (BITSoM), a new-age global business school in  Mumbai, under the aegis of BITS Pilani has entered into a formal collaboration with  the London Business School (LBS) that aims at enhancing global exposure for its  students. The partnership entails a specially curated global extension and  immersion programme at the London campus of LBS. Under the Letter of Intent  signed between the two partners, BITSoM’s renowned faculty pool will be further  strengthened by the developing relationship with LBS. BITSoM and LBS will also  explore co-creating an executive leadership programme exclusively for women  leaders in India.

Speaking on the strategic collaboration, Mr Kumar Mangalam Birla,  Chancellor, BITS Pilani and Chairman, Governing Council, BITSoM said  “When we set out to build BITSoM, we were clear in our ambition of creating a  global business school. With this partnership, we are adding a powerful new  dimension - that of global exposure. The immersion program will deepen students’  understanding of cross-cultural leadership and expose them to a new wave of  entrepreneurial energy. This unique proposition of an Indian MBA with a truly  global and multi-cultural flavour, curated for the new age of business, will  undoubtedly raise the bar on what is considered to be a premier management  education in India.”

Mr François Ortalo-Magné, Dean, London Business School, said “I am  impressed with the mission and vision of BITSoM. We at LBS are keen to help  train purpose-driven individuals from diverse backgrounds who are willing to  embrace change and embark on a transformative journey with BITSoM. Together,  we can have a profound impact on India and the world”.

Under the collaboration, students will get an opportunity to spend two weeks in  London for an immersion programme. Students will learn from the stellar LBS  faculty and explore mindsets and beliefs about cultural intelligence. Running  across the program will be the Entrepreneurial Project Lab where students will  work in small teams with entrepreneurs and pick up insights from their experience  and in return, offer fresh thinking and new possibilities.

On collaborating with London Business School, Dr Ranjan Banerjee, Dean,  BITSoM, said “Our aspiration is to create global leaders of tomorrow. It is not  enough to understand global contexts. First-hand experience and reflection  matters. Experiencing multi-cultural settings first hand, and solving problems with  entrepreneurs in these settings, is the edge that the LBS experience can provide to BITSoM students.”

Launched in January this year, BITSoM has witnessed an overwhelming response  from students. The first cohort comprises a mix of fresh graduates and experienced  candidates drawn from the top colleges across the country. Some of the best  global faculty from the top institutes in the world are teaching at BITSOM. Faculty  drawn from institutes like Kellogg, Wharton, NYU, MIT Sloan, Texas Austin,  Cornell will be teaching the founding class. BITSoM has recently added to its  faculty pool with outstanding teachers such as Prof. Leena Chatterjee, Prof. AK  Shivakumar, Devdutt Pattnaik, and Nish Bhutani

With a stellar global faculty and a curriculum curated for the digital age, the BITSoM  experience is designed to make graduates ready for the emerging workplace.
