I also need to schedule lectures, attend meetings, college activities and events as and when required. How do you establish healthy relations with the students and fellow faculty?
"By being truthful to my students and faculty members and regularly interacting with them"
In my opinion, to maintain a healthy relationship with others, it's important to stay connected with them to understand them. Hence, I follow the same approach with my students and fellow faculties, I regularly communicate with them through an open and respectful communication channel and also play games with students after classes. Also, I never question students' capabilities as I know they have enough potential to be a good human being and professional and whenever students need my guidance, I stay ready to rectify their mistakes. Lastly, I attend extracurricular events and also invite students to my home to celebrate their success and achievements. And when it comes to Faculties, I regularly involve myself in knowledge sharing sessions to stay connected with them and by being Trustworthy for them, listening carefully to them, asking questions, celebrating each other's proud moments and offering my help and support in their need I ensure a healthy relationship with them.
How do you bring in a practical and industry oriented approach towards subjects?
"We assign projects, internships and training programs to students"
We firmly believe that one cannot become an expert overnight and he/she needs practice to become perfect in any domain. Also, when young minds learn by doing, they are able to retain the concepts for a greater period of time, greater the practice, and they feel much more confident and independent. Therefore, to enforce a practical learning experience for students, we conduct experiments in the lab, organize study tours for students and assign them mini-major projects and assignments and also involve them in the college's research activities.
Which best practices are offered by your department to students to help them gain necessary skills?
"We organize field visits and offer mentorship to students on individual basis"

And one-to-one mentorship is provided to them by us as and when required and field visits are conducted too to educate students about best industrial practices, trends and how people and processes work together on ground level. How do you prepare your students to deal with the outside competitive world?
"We create dynamic learning sessions and study plans to prepare them for outside world"
We encourage our students to learn and enjoy the education and we use different approaches to make them ready for the outside world. Firstly, we enforce the culture of positive competition in our college by including fun and humor in classrooms. Next, we create varied lesson plans because if we will use the same methods to teach them, they will be annoyed and will also feel bored after some time, so it's better to refresh and renew our teaching pedagogies and educational practices from time to time. Apart from this, we never forget to appreciate students' achievements and also provide awards to bright students and motivate them to set realistic goals and stay enthusiastic. Also, we engage our students in team activities and inculcate the competitive spirit in them. Lastly, we connect with our students on a regular basis to address and fix their academic and non-academic issues and queries and know their strengths and weaknesses, and this in turn is very helpful as we can customize lessons and our content delivery techniques as per their requirements.
Which extracurricular activities are organized by your college to enhance the skills of students?
"Workshops, professional visits, mock interviews and seminars are regularly organized by us"
For the purpose of preparing our students for the outside world and enhancing their skills, we regularly organize Career Counseling Sessions, workshops, rigorous training programs, mock interviews, internships and industrial visits.
What challenges have you faced while uplifting the education quality of your department?
"Collecting funds to establish required infrastructure and curriculum development are two real issues"
The main hurdle for the upliftment of higher education institutions is the lack of finances to conduct events and programs. And as per The Right of Children to Free and Compulsory Education (RTE) Act, 2009, the PTR at the primary level should be 30:1, and at the upper primary level, it should be 35:1. But because of faculty crunch, institutions are unable to maintain this ratio, so that's another issue and last comes the challenge of curriculum development as industry demands keep changing over time.
What approaches do you bring in apart from curriculum to teach the students?
"We regularly monitor students performance, encourage them to stay positive and updated"
For the purpose of educating our students beyond books and curriculum, we give plenty of feedback to students after taking their assessments on a regular basis because I believe mechanism helps students to know their strong and weak areas, and we don't always get involved in formal communication, it's generally a quick verbal communication. Apart from this, we regularly monitor the academic and co-curricular progress of our students and whenever we communicate with them, we make objectives very clear so that they can set clear expectations from discussion and learning sessions. Also, we conduct a lot of experiments and practical demo sessions to teach a concept to them in a better way. And lastly we ask students to rephrase the learned lesson through presentations.
