A chef cum trainer helping our students to achieve their career in the hotel industry as a chef. Not only this, but under his guidance our students went and represented our Institute on National and international platforms like SICA and IFCA International competitions which gave huge exposure to our students and brought name and fame to the institute.
What is the latest program that you are offering in your dept. which will help students outperform and stand apart from the crowd?
In the department of Food Production, we are offering a specialization program where in we train the students in advanced food production where the students are trained in various advanced practical sessions on Molecular gastronomy, Handmade Pasta, Charcuterie, cakes, breads, Plating of appetizers, main course and desserts, etc.
What are the factors that make this program and also the best practices in the course offered?

The best practice being followed is hands-on training wherein students are not just taught the hardcore skills but also the soft skills required to make the student competent in the hotel industry.
How does the program ensure that students are being prepared for the future?
The students are given various tasks such as assignments and projects to complete and the same carries marks towards the end semester ensuring that the students are well prepared to enter into the hotel industry.

The management undertakes various Faculty Development Programs in regular intervals, wherein experts from the industry are intact with the faculty keeping us updated with current trends and their expectations from our students who will be joining them in the future.
How do you tend to build an industry connected with this program?
Various events such as Celebratory days, Competitions and workshops are conducted at the campus during which various hotel industry professionals are invited as either Chief guests or Judges or demonstrators’, due to this the students get to interact with the Hotel Industry professionals making a connection with the industry. Other than this the students take part in various state and national level culinary competitions coming in contact with industry people and connect.
What were the challenges that you faced while inculcating this program in your curriculum?
The basic challenges are involved with the student’s ability and willingness to learn and become a hotel industry professional.
