Prof. Rajeev Sijariya is currently associated with Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) as a Professor at Atal Bihari Vajpayee School of Management and Entrepreneurship (ABVSME). He is also the Chairperson of the Special Centre for E-Learning (SCEL) and International Students Advisor for the University. He has vast teaching experience of over 20+ years. He has done M.Sc. (Physics-electronics), MBA, and Ph.D. in Management. He is an aspiring and hard-working person who is always ready to accept challenges and upgrade himself with new technologies.

Our college has introduced a new program named “Diploma in Entrepreneurship” in the curriculum for students, which will help them to stand out from the crowd. This program will make our students capable to enhance their Entrepreneurial skills and will broaden their analytical skills to express themselves and their ideas in an innovative way.

It will empower our students to present their ideas in front of industry experts. Apart from that, we will be providing mentorship to these students with the support of our Alumni who all are working at very high posts in numerous top-class organizations in and out of the country. Through this mentorship program, students will be able to connect with Alumni on an individual basis to clear all their doubts and issues related to the course.

Even before making this program available for our students, we have started training our faculties in the best possible way. So that when the admissions start from next academic year for the course, our infrastructure and pillar of strength that is nothing but all our faculties should have a hand on the grip and a better approach so that they can guide and help students to be an excellent Entrepreneur in future.

We strongly believe in the concept of the “Make in India” campaign and this program also puts emphasis on innovative mindset and delivery of ideas, so an industry-oriented approach automatically comes into the picture. There are a lot of developments that are yet to be taken place in most of the sectors in our country and the students after doing this diploma course will learn how to solve those problems and concerns of the society.

What are challenges does this college face while introducing this Diploma course to students?

“To convince parents about the career scopes this course offers”

The only challenge which we are facing currently is the mindset of parents who put their children in this course. Because the support of parents plays a major role here and until and unless they will not trust is that we are giving best opportunities to their children to grow, then how the children can trust us for their future. Therefore, we have taken the whole responsibility on us and we conduct webinars on regular basis to interact with parents to address their questions be it regarding their child growth or career opportunities.

The MBA program which is a 2-year course divided into 4 semesters is the flagship course of ABVSME which will provide exceptional management education and knowledge to our students who are enrolled in it. The pedagogy is mapped in a way to focus on Indian business models and recognize the co-existence of business and non-business sectors. We are offering a wide range of electives as major and minor specializations as well.

What are the prerequisites for students to take admission in this course?

“Students having a valid CAT can apply for it”

Currently, we are inviting applications for our MBA program for batch 2022-24. All applicants seeking admission in this program must have appeared in the Common Admission Test (CAT) in 2021 which is conducted by IIMs. Due to post covid situation, we are liberal not to keep any cutoff on the CAT percentile for admission.
