New Delhi: National Council of Hotel Management Catering Technology (NCHMCT) and the Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) have joined hands on February 23, 2023. This initiative is taken to boost research in the tourism and hospitality industry in the country.

On this occasion, Senior Economic Adviser of Tourism Ministry and CEO of NCHMCT, Gyan Bhushan and JNU Vice-Chancellor Santishree Dhulipudi Pandit signed the contract in the presence of Union Tourism Minister G Kishan Reddy.

G Kishan Reddy, the keynote speaker at the event, delivered a speech in which he said that during their collaboration, "we would utilise this association to work together. We will offer education to kids as well as excellent technology and goods."

In his statement, Union Tourism Minister strongly suggested that the two organisations study the marketing strategies of each other for the tourist industry. Arvind Singh, Secretary of the Union Ministry of Tourism, said this initiative would benefit both organisations.

The signing of the agreement was described as a "momentous day, a historic day in the development of the hotel business in the nation" by Bhushan. He shared that the hospitality sector is getting ready to see a "quantum leap”.

"We will be creating a new vista in fields of research and development with the signing of this memorandum of understanding," Bhushan remarked. The gathering was hosted at the Institute of Hotel Management, Catering, and Nutrition, Pusa in Delhi.
