E.T. Vivek King is currently serving as the Principal of Trinity College of Hotel Management, Secunderabad. He is a Senior, strategic academician & professional in hospitality management domain with more than three decades of expertise in setting up academic achievements of excellence. His academic qualifications include M.Sc in Hotel Management from Annamalai University, M.A. PPM (Public Personnel Management) from Osmania University, P.G. Diploma in Hotel Management & Tourism from VMRF Deemed University, Two-year course in Hotel Management and Catering Technology from Asan Memorial Institute of Hotel Management and Catering Technology, Chennai, B.Sc (B.Z.C.) from Osmania University and B.Sc in Hotel Management from Madurai Kamaraj University.

Prior to Trinity College, Mr. King has worked as Academic Co-ordinator at Dr. Narayana College of Hotel Management, Secunderabad; Vice Principal and HOD Food & Beverage Service at Greenfields College of Catering & Hotel Management; Senior Lecturer at Blooms College of Catering & Hotel Management; Manager F&B/Event Manager at Radhakrishna Hospitality Services, Hyderabad; Sr. Captain at Hotel Viceroy, Hyderabad; Catering Manager at O.N.G.C. Bombay. He has also worked as a Captain at Hotel Surya Palace, Banjara Hills, Hyderabad and Secunderabad Club, Secunderabad.

Mr. King is a man of few words but great works. Discipline, Commitment,and Excellence form the very fabric of his personality. This multifaceted personality leaves an indelible mark everywhere he goes.The journey called life has tutored him long enough to empower him with indomitable patience and perseverance. He is widely known for his tactfulness and disposition.

Mr. King is a visionary of the sort; right from looks to books or cooks, professionalism is never compromised. Training and creating professionals with classical inputs of aptness, deftness, and finesse define his forte. His pursuit of perfection is clearly visible in his administrative skills. He strikes an easy balance alternating between an iron hand and a helping hand. Mr. King is more a brand than a name. His deeds of kindness honesty and reliability walk before him continuing to embolden many a young hotelier of this genre.

The practical and theory and practical sessions designed within the curriculum are periodically reviewed and redesigned to suit the industry. Industrial visits, ODC’s and various competitions held within the state and country gives enough exposure to students to increase their awareness and also have a experience.

Personally speaking, every HMCT college endeavors to be the best from among the rest, so is the same for TCHM. But the mission to envision becomes a reality by the well abled and talented staff of Trinity which is of top quality, which in extending borders as far as international waters.

Mr. King on how he ensures the quality of education in the institution

A good leader is the one who knows the way,goes the way and shows the way. Personal attention and strict adherence to work ethics never fail to have a great output in terms of quality. Whilst keeping watch over the administrative affairs, the interaction between the staff and the students over issues that need a redressal or just together for better inputs towards learning and development are put into practice.

Mr. King on how to build a positive school culture or climate

Today’s world is all about positive thinking, positive attitude, positive culture and so on. This positivity is bound to fail as it has no support system of its own. I believe there can be only 2 divisions i.e. right and wrong. Building up the right culture is more important to up a right society. So, when the students are disciplined, likewise in the right manner, and taught what is acceptable and what is not,they are bound to spread a lot of positive vibes wherever they go.

Mr. King on his relation with the students

A good principal is one who dons many hats. He is a friend, a guide, a philosopher, a , and many times a fair judge. To be able to understand the need of the student or a staff and address his/ her concern is truly an art and this art gets honed over the years of experience rolled up in one’s sleeve. I believe experience always makes a good taskmaster.
