What is your philosophy of leadership? How would you describe your leadership style?
“Keeping open communication with the students and the faculty”
My educational philosophy of leadership would indeed begin and end with developing a positive culture that students, staff, and community members race to be a part of. I want to be a leader who explicitly communicates with all stakeholders and passionately implements the key components for creating a positive learning culture within a system. My leadership style by default is a blend of collaborative and situational. As a leader, I believe it is important to motivate those I lead with a shared vision and effectively communicating to implement the ideas.
What are the changes noticed by you in the education sector in the past few years?
“A time for us to learn and update our skills as per the changing scenario”
With technology takeover and globalization, the education system is changing very fast. India as a country has been experiencing a rapid increase in student enrolments for higher education in the area of management over the last decade. Education is changing in ways of technology and how it has rapidly been introduced into colleges across the country. Though it has been modernized by the introduction of software techniques and video classes, it is now more commercial at many levels including research and award of doctorates. People have become more interested in getting degrees and distinctions than gaining mastery over the subjects. This is a very unfortunate development in spite of advanced techniques in communication skills. As per the latest update projected by the MHRD would surely have an impact on the current teaching pedagogy considering the practical knowledge versus the theoretical teachings.
