What are the key factors that keep you connected with the education sector?
“Education keeps me connected with the young minds and gives new opportunities to learn”
The key factors that helps me keep connected with the profession are:
- My passion for teaching and research;
- Values that I share with my students;
- Academia-industry interface that helps me to address the contemporary issues faced by business and industry
- Developing employable skills among students.
What is your philosophy of leadership? How would you describe your leadership style?
“I have a versatile leadership style”
My leadership style is highly flexible. I usually take into account the 7C-Characteristics such as: Calm, Confidence, Communication, Collaboration, Community (feelings), Compassion, and Cash (i.e. ROI). It helps me move forward and lets me take decisions rationally.

How do you strategize about the key programs and plans for the marketing and administration of your college?
“Building the right attitude is the key to success”
I aim to work in a unique direction to foster research and publications. I aim to help shape students' and faculty's attitudes, skills, and knowledge to pave the way for a conducive work environment. Such efforts would also help in enhancing the brand image of ISM.
What would you like people to know about your college they may not know?
“We work towards achieving common goal”
We have excellent networking with students and faculty. Even in the pandemic, we seek to effectively conduct online classes, besides putting counseling students at the forefront. I believe in forming strong bonds and amicable relationships to help develop the individual and thus contribute towards development of the institution.
How does the curriculum of ISM ensure the best practice of the industry?
“We ensure our students are abreast to current industry standards”
I can highlight a bit about our Master’s (PGDM) Curriculum, which is flexible and updated at regular intervals. Also, we ensure that our curriculum is updated and revised periodically to keep up the industry standards. We offer a market and job oriented course curriculum that covers various core and functional courses.
What do you think your roles and responsibilities to the college and the students are?
“There are many aspects that fall under my canopy of responsibility”
My roles and responsibilities include empowering faculty and students, connecting with various academic and research forums for publications. Also, organizing seminars, conferences, and workshops, liaison with institutions for accreditation of existing and new courses through UGC/ AICTE, etc.
