Dr. S. Manikandan is the Professor and Head of the Department of Information Technology at K. Ramakrishnan College of Engineering, Trichy. He has 21 Years of teaching and research experience. He guided 7 Ph.D. scholars and is guiding 4 scholars now. He has written three books on Software Project Management, Professional Ethics and Data mining and Data Warehousing. He received the Best Paper Presenter Award from the Computer Society of India and Best Administrator Award from Dr. Kalam Educational Trust, Chennai. His research areas of expertise are Image Processing, Data Mining and Artificial Intelligence.

We are now offering the Information Technology program in our institute. It is a new program, but the curriculum is tailored to meet the current industry goals based on input from industry professionals.

The students are given hands-on training by expert members from the industry. The students are asked to take regular practice in a software platform called skillrack, on which they do regular practice. Students gain exposure to software development and software testing this way. There is also a platform for ICT training, which exposes students to software development and prepares them for effective placement after graduation.
