How do you try to bring in a practical approach towards subjects?
“Establishing MoU’s, tie-ups and collaborations with industries for real-world exposure”
We have held industry visits and signed MOUs with various agencies. During a semester, students visit a variety of industries to learn the latest trends. Our campus is located in Hosur, which is a large industrial area near Bangalore. It has small and medium-sized businesses along with big companies such as Ashok Leyland and TVS. We have MOUs with various industries here.
How does your department prepare students for Higher education and Placements?
“Intense practical training and collaboration with industries of the Mechanical Engineering field”
This course includes the elements of engineering mechanics, thermodynamics, subjects related to design, automobile engineering, and subjects associated with material analysis. We have MOUs with at least ten to twenty companies in the mechanical department. One of our main goals is to ensure 100% placements through intensive training and education.
How does the curriculum ensure the best practice of the industry?
“It includes a university curriculum with industrial interactions and dynamic topics”
The college is affiliated with Anna University. It is not an autonomous college. The autonomous college has some freedom in deciding the curriculum. So we follow the curriculum given by Anna University. The University regularly updates the curriculum according to the changes observed by them in the industry. In addition to the curriculum, industry representatives come to teach them soft skills. Guests Lecturers and Entrepreneurs give additional classes at the college on a regular basis. Students can learn about the latest technology and trends in the industry from the current titans of the industry.

How does the department enhance the skills of the faculty?
“Faculty training and development programs are organized regularly”
Our faculty members come from the industry as well as have experience in teaching. As a result, they bring industry knowledge to the classroom. Additionally, we ensure that the faculty only teaches those subjects in which they have industry experience. The faculties are also highly experienced and continue to update their knowledge through FDP’s.
How do you tend to establish healthy relations with the students and fellow faculty?
“Understanding student sentiment and providing genuine grievance redressal”
Our goal is to give everyone the freedom and opportunity to learn and make mistakes. Any students who are having trouble should seek assistance from any faculty member or from me directly. Also, I maintain a kind behaviour towards everyone, whether it is faculty or students. As a result, they gain confidence that I will be there for them whenever they need my help. Furthermore, kindness ensures that people will be willing to communicate with you, so this ensures a proper flow of communication.
What do you see as the department’s greatest strengths?
“Strong infrastructural facilities and activities that keep the students engaged constructively”
Our department’s greatest strength is that we are able to ensure that students do not waste even a single second of their time. The faculty gives engaging lectures so that students can understand all aspects of their subjects. Our students are also given regular tasks so they can stay focused and aren't wasting their time.

What valuable advice would you like to give the students for a prosperous career ahead?
“Overall development is essential to succeed in today’s competitive world”
We always strive to give our students positive energy. Furthermore, for students to be successful in their careers, we expect more than just academic success and want them to develop some skills which will help them in the future. Rather than just studying for exams, students should adopt a positive outlook and acquire skills that will be helpful in their entire lives.
