S.R Institute of Management and Technology

Mr Pawan Singh Chauhan, the Founder and Chairman of S.R Group of Institution is an Educationist, Entrepreneur and a Social worker. He completed his graduation from the University of Lucknow and after graduating, completed his MBA. Later he fulfilled his father’s dream of starting a college and providing free education to economically weaker students. Since his childhood, he has had a passion for social work. He is a recipient of several awards in the education sector. Currently, his college is imparting knowledge to more than 5000 students. 

SR Group of Institution is ranked 4th among all the AKTU colleges and is declared the best institute in North India because of the sheer hard work, dedication and vision of Mr. Chauhan. In 2015, he also established SR Global School in Lucknow which is affiliated to CBSE Board.

The joy of helping others in the field of education

I Pawan Singh Chauhan, Chairman of S.R Group of Institute get elated once a non-skilled student is provided with proper training in multi-skill development and is finally placed in a good corporate. I get delighted after scanning these excited students helping their family and society in raising the base of quality standards and living.

Inculcating virtues is the route to success

In my entire life, I have been a man of perseverance and wit. In accordance with these, I use my leadership abilities and invest them in my acumen to understand the undercurrent of society. I use this personal study to motivate my students and faculty because I know that it is impossible for me to be in touch with every student, but contrary to this my faculty do get to have first-hand experience with the students. Hence, motivating them is equally important, if not more.

The route to success in a country like ours will be lopsided unless we instil in our student's virtues. Becoming an engineer can make a man successful, but to be noble, virtues must be instilled, and I give special attention to the instillation of virtues in our students. 

Establishing world class education at S.R Group of Institution

Mr. Devesh Kumar Singh, our honorable director, the founder member, is an IITian and holds a B.Tech and M.Tech degree from IIT Kanpur. He has a world-class holistic experience. All his friends belong to the same cadre and often come to our institute for guest lectures thereby helping students understand what it takes to create a niche for themselves in a competitive world equivalent to that of ours.

Conducive employment opportunities

Our forte is that we not only provide jobs to our students but also are recognised to offer employment opportunities across the borders of Uttar Pradesh irrespective of the stream of education. We can proudly claim that nearly 4000 students are offered jobs per year. I feel privileged to be a part of an institution which guarantees conducive employment opportunities. 

Hurdles faced as the Chairman of S.R Group of Institution

Till date, I think when a programme is introduced by the government, it gets a little tedious to deal with. This not only causes hindrance in the progress of the students but also impact their performance, it aches my heart.

Mr. Chauhan on time management

I live by the clock and make sure that I give my utmost to the society, country, and education sector. Following this makes my life worthwhile. 

Managing around 13,000 students at S.R Group of Institution

Currently, 8000 students are here along with 4000 engineering students and 1000 management students. The best method that I have always adopted is to weave a direct interaction with my students. I also take a keen interest in my students and their issues on the personal front too. 

I make sure to arrange for holistic feedback. I appreciate and examine the honesty with which my students answer to any question asked. Apart from this, I keep arranging for public sessions with my student body, whereby I use my encouraging oratory skills to be of aid to them. 

Pedagogy of innovative learning

I believe that our faculty is competent. When these capable staff members toil day and night, the results are reflected in the success of our students which are progressing with each passing day. The positive sense of competition among the students facilitates sure shot success. However, this success is a result of hard work of not just me but also the faculty. This rapid progression of our institution has become a benchmark in our society. 

Our students always stand out from the students of other colleges. The employers of our alumni also vouch for the immaculate quality of work and ethics displayed by our each passing batch. The best part is that we believe in the pedagogy of innovative learning, which is not like primitive learning. I am proud to claim that our entire family are always ready to stretch out a helping hand, whenever required. Our motive is to help our students become honest and virtuous entrepreneurs.

Suggestions for the youth and aspiring students

All I wish to say is that we, at all times must work with honesty and make productive use of our time. We have the power to change our country for the better only when the youth awakens to understand the importance of making productive use of their talent and time.
