Talla Padmavathi College of Engineering, Warangal

Shri Talla Vamshi is the Managing Director of Talla Padmavathi College of Engineering, Warangal. He draws his inspiration from his father Shri Talla Mallesham Garu who is also an educationalist with vast experience. Shri Talla Vamshi aspires to present the nation with budding engineers under his guidance.

What are the key factors that keep you connected with the education sector?

“Being able to mold the youth of the nation”

Basically, I was born and brought up in a family of educationalists. My father and chairman of Talla Padmavathi Consortium, Sri Talla Mallesham Garu started a private school teacher started a school by name Learners’ land School with 11 students. Now the consortium has around 5000 students with 4 schools, 2 pharmacy colleges, Engineering, Polytechnic, and MBA colleges. I feel blessed to be part of the mission of building human resources for the nation.

In your experience, what can an inbound student gain from studying here in your institute/ university/ school?

“Platform to expand their knowledge and skills”

The education system anywhere across the globe has its pros and cons. I have been the only person to be a delegate in Indian Higher Education Knowledge Delegation to the UK, USA, and Canada. Under the leadership of Prof Anil D Sahasrabudhe, Chairman of AICTE, I got an opportunity to interact with various officials of these countries and various universities over there. Our education system is more structured so it’s more stringent. However, our new NEP provides for a flexible education system. Irrespective of policies we at our institutions provide a platform for our students to explore in research, entrepreneurship, multi-disciplinary approach, etc. As an example, we have started TP Solution, an in-house Incubation center.

“As a Managing Director, I try to establish a system where the entire administrative and the academic tree of the college work under a single and only vision of Student Enrichment.”

What do you think should be the University’s top priority over the next 10 years?

“To have a multi-disciplinary approach towards education”

With the advent of new NEP and global challenges, research should be multidisciplinary and contemporary. Our top priority will be to make our students globally competent and make them self-adaptable to market challenges arising every now and then. Precisely, they should be technically sound and technologically advanced.

Any suggestions you would like to give to the current youth and the aspiring students?

“Limitations should not be a hindrance to growth”

I advise today’s youth to pursue education with a passion. Don’t just read the content, try to learn and habituate with the knowledge you acquired. Always believe in the power of imagination rather than focusing on limitations.
