New Delhi: Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU) has launched a dual degree programme to enable students to pursue BTech and BBA simultaneously. The detailed notice and circular on admission to the BBA (Data Analytics) course will be released by the university soon on its official website at jntuh.ac.in.
Informing about the program, the JNTU Hyderabad officials stated that students will have better job opportunities if they can complete both engineering and administration courses concurrently as many employers prefer hiring young people with additional skills for IT jobs and other positions.
Professor Katta Narasimha Reddy, vice chancellor of JNTU, spoke with faculty members and explained the dual degree programme, which will start this academic year. As long as the class schedules for the two academic programmes do not conflict, the UGC has given its approval for the enrollment of students.
He further informed that the JNTU Hyderabad BBA-Data Analytics course will be delivered online five days a week. Every week, there will be one day dedicated to online classes. The BBA course is open to all students enrolled in different programmes at colleges and other colleges/institutes affiliated with JNTU Hyderabad.
Informing about the admission criteria, he added that first, second, and third-year BTech students may apply for the BBA course. Before finishing the engineering course, students in the first and second years of BTech can complete the BBA (Data Analytics) programme.
After earning their BTech degree, third-year BTech students should devote one additional year to finishing the BBA programme.
