Dr. B C Jain is designated as Academic Director at KITE Raipur. Having three decades of experience in teaching, he has completed his education in the engineering field from NIT Raipur and Post-Graduation from Walchand College of Engineering, Sangli under Shivaji University, Kolhapur. He completed his doctoral in the year 2004 from IIT Bombay and has been engaged in research in the field of Manufacturing Competence for the last 7-8 years. 

The academician has published several research publications in International Journals of repute and has also participated in various conferences. Currently, he also serves as Director of the leading IT company of Chhattisgarh, Sjain Ventures Ltd. and also as a member of Bharatiya Jain Sangathan and Sthanakwasi Jain Sangh, Raipur. Edited Excerpts -

I have been in the teaching profession for more than three decades now and I feel honoured to share the knowledge and wisdom with students. I feel so proud to know that I am also a major contributor to shape their careers. It gives me immense pleasure and satisfaction to see my students occupying good positions in different sectors across the globe.

“Student’s apathy in attending classes is more alarming”

The greatest challenge of educational institutions today is the skill gap between industry and

institution. Students are focused more on acquiring a degree and are less interested to acquire practical knowledge and skill up-gradation. 

Students who are least interested in attending the classes is more alarming. My emphasis is always on providing standard and quality education which caters to the needs of industries and provides good career prospects to student fraternity.

I tend to maintain a healthy and interactive relationship with my students

I always believe in maintaining a healthy & friendly relationship with the students and allow them to share their professional/personal problems. I keep on interacting with students and make myself available to them. 

Apart from that I often attend classes and discuss with them the difficulties they are facing in understanding any subject and take remedial measures accordingly. I make them comfortable while interacting with me and motivate them to know more and more about any topic of their interest.

If I talk about the goals, presently we are aiming to become one of the best institutions in Chhattisgarh. We want to provide quality education in the coming years. Our vision is to empower youth for his / her evolutionary growth and to reach the highest potential. Students must focus on gaining experience & knowledge rather than academic marks

In the present-day scenario, a student needs to be more attentive and alert in identifying their interest/passion and accordingly should choose course/subject. I would also admonish students to focus more on gaining practical knowledge rather than academic marks. 

There is no profession today which cannot flourish in this era of digitization. Excellence is the only key to achieve success.
