Dr. Pranjali Gani has been working as a Professor in the Computer Science department of Kruti Institute of Technology & Engineering since 2008. She is a 2003 Graduate from Ravishankar University. She joined NIT Raipur as Teaching Assistant, In 2012, completed my post-graduation program (M.Tech) from NIT RAIPUR. She completed her Ph.D. Degree from Dr. C.V. Raman University in 2017. Currently, She is Head of the Computer Science Department. She is also head of Social Media, Online Education, and Examination Coordinator.

What are your roles and responsibilities towards the students?

“My role and responsibilities towards the students are to guide and help them in developing their personality”

My roles and responsibilities towards students are to guide them, help them develop their personalities, skills through practical training sessions, expert interactions, etc. All the students are given proper attention and their doubts are resolved for helping them excel in their respective fields.

How do you make the Course Curriculum industry-oriented?

“To bridge the gap between the practical and theoretical skills of students”

We provide an industry-oriented curriculum, seminars, training sessions are conducted with experts from industry, industry visits, internships, etc. along with theoretical learning and practical training. We regularly organize events, activities, and fests so that the entire college students come together, celebrate, learn and grow. The curriculum is prepared to cover all the practical aspects of education and prepare them for the corporate world. We prepare our students through role-plays, case studies, etc. 

What are the best practices offered by the department to the students which help them gain necessary skills?

“Providing Students with well-equipped libraries and Hi-Tech Laboratories”

Department provides students with Hi-Tech laboratories, well-equipped libraries, and an advanced curriculum. The Practical training, Personality development sessions, and webinars, etc. are organized regularly to help students learn and grow.

How do you strategize and update the curriculum?

“Curriculum is designed and updated in such a way that it covers a 360-degree aspect consisting of all relevant topics”

The curriculum is designed in such a way that it covers almost 360-degree aspects of the concerned subject. It covers all the relevant topics in detail, practical aspects, practices, and experiments that help them gain the required knowledge and skills.

What are your views upon the placements and higher education about the students from your department? 

“Encourage students to participate in Placement Drives and competitive examinations”

There are various training and development activities organized for the students, mock group discussion rounds, mock interviews, etc. are regularly organized to prepare students for the practical world and its challenges. As mentioned earlier, we prepare our students with mock interviews, mock competitive tests, etc. We prepare them for various challenges and dynamic real-world situations. 

Do you have any extracurricular programs to expose students to real-world challenges? 

“Providing Students with Skill Enhancement Programs like Webinars and Projects”

Yes, we have various course-specific webinars, projects, and assignments that cover the core topics of the subject. Intra-college competitions are also there to ensure regular interaction and communication skills among the students. Nowadays students pay more attention to the technologies, sports so grab their attention. We introduce them to new technologies and real-life examples.

What was your vision for college from the start and how are you trying to achieve the same?

Our faculty are regularly trained and prepared to work towards the personality development of the students and themselves. They hold years of industry work experience and are then trained according to the teaching benchmarks to enhance the studying experience. We conduct Webinars, seminars, and different kinds of courses.

The college's greatest strengths are our faculty members. We are always mentoring our students from the beginning of the year. Individual faculty members mentor 5 students. Faculty members always enhance their knowledge, learn new skills.

What advice would you like to the students for them to have a prosperous career ahead? 

“Keep learning irrespective of exams, competitions and academic sessions”

My advice to students is to always keep learning irrespective of exams, competitions, and academic sessions. One can never stop learning and growing so students must always keep learning, keep up with the industry trends and requirements, attend seminars and events that enhance their knowledge and skills. Also, they must grab all the opportunities with a go-getter attitude and excel in life.
