Master of Science [M.S] [Physics and Astronomy - Science for Energy and Sustainability] From University of Amsterdam

Science for Energy and Sustainability (SES) is an interdisciplinary track within the UvA Master's programmes Chemistry and Physics and Astronomy. Each discipline contributes courses that can be selected allowing a programme geared towards only physics, a mixture of physics and chemistry or supplemented with courses dealing with societal aspects of sustainability. It's a joint degree programme of the University of Amsterdam and VU Amsterdam.

It is if students:

• are interested in experimental physics with a focus on renewable energy and sustainability;
• want to become (more) aware of the scientific, technological and societal challenges for the future;
• want to learn how to advance renewable energy resources, promote sustainable development, and use resources more efficiently;
• want to study the development of technological solutions to global energy and sustainability problems, as well as the societal context of global developments in this field;
• want to pursue a career that focuses on developing sustainable solutions to the current pressing global situation with regard to energy, climate and sustainability.
